Pure conjecture on your part. All the variants have come from overseas, bud. Vaccine reducing transmission is a CDC statement that they do not back up with transparent facts. Breakthrough case severity, seems plausible, due to stats from hospital admissions. Aside from feeling bad for the profit-driven corporate

Well sure, if you take your VW to the dealer, they are going to extract a lot of cash from you. I have only taken 1 of my 8 VWs to the dealer one single time, for the rear main seal. It was ~$700, which I hated, but honestly was not that bad for a major service like that. I’ve done all other maintenance and repairs

Lol, ok sure. My family has had 8 different VWs over the last 17 years. All were exceptionally reliable (no joke, zero major issues) except one, that had recurring coolant pump leakage and blew its crank seal once also. It was sad because my wife loved that car (2010 passat wagon) but I sorta wonder how much her

Hey, if that happens, that would be AWESOME.  Maybe we should fire more junk out, in random directions.  Let’s find someone to piss off!

Fair enough. I’m at 16+ years of VW daily driving now, every other car make just seems weird and not-ergonomic at all.

Ha! Good burn.  My Mk4 Jetta definitely had “the smell” but I can’t say any of the Mk5s I had or mk7 did.

Good question.  It obviously seems directionally correct for aerodynamics, but probably minor effect.  Aesthetics may be the main design driver (which I also do enjoy).

Thats a cool idea.  Everything on a VW/Audi can be re-programmed and re-coded to customize anything electrical - I wonder if this is a hidden option.

Pain in the ass?  I just hit service mode if it’s looking stormy any time soon.  Easy habit to get into.  Never had them ice up (on my 8th VW now)

VWs all put the wipers down in the cowl too. But if you hit the wiper stalk once after shutting the engine off, they motor up to the vertical position and stay there. The so-called “service” position. Easy habit to get into if you live somewhere wintry.  Sorry if you Honda doesn’t have any clever tricks, haha.

It’s not like the roadster is now in orbit of earth, waiting to smash into a satellite or the space station. It’s ... just gone, man. Absolutely no impact upon any human’s life, ever. Junk is deep space is completely meaningless, not something to lose sleep over.

Yeah it’s the only tesla product I enjoy looking at.  Y and X are gross, 3 is... ok.

indeed.

it’s easy to wonder if this production record is indicative of the company’s tendency to rush things more than is wise

Um, what?  There were 15 millions new cars sold in 2021.  Which is a little down from our normal 16-17 million level in the years prior.

Do you really think the model S is ugly?  It still turns my head every time one goes by (which is often around SE MI).

True. It’s all still mostly fantasy though. There’s nowhere near enough lithium and other precious metal mining happening to support making 16 million battery packs every year (for the US alone). Without a battery supply chain, adequate charging network, affordable EV prices, and consumer demand.... this is all pretty

No one? j/k I don’t really have an answer for you. Ideally there would be enough housing choices that market pressure would exist in the form of renters choosing to live elsewhere, if you don’t provide chargers for your tenants.  But maybe the 1/3 of people in this situation could just keep driving a combustion

Great. Now can the experts figure out how anyone approved of the fuckin super obnoxious LEDs on these “mustangs”? I get blinded anytime I am anywhere near one. It’s like they have high beams on constantly.  Even the god damn tail lights are too bright.

No way!  VW forums are thriving .  Sorta.
