Andy, my man. You need to leave New Jersey, and see more of the country.

Nah I mean they are plenty responsive and quite powerful, as far as new GTDI engines go. Just have some turbo lag at low rpm, like any turbo engine does.
Chill out, herr vanderplug. I was thinking automotive/light duty. Sorely mistaken on the HD pickup diesels, indeed.
It’s basically a tractor with automotive cladding.
Not only is it a wrangler competitor, it’s a bigger, heavier one with ridiculous 35" tires. No complaining about your shitty driving experience, it’s exactly what you chose to buy.
I see other people saying the same things, but I’m here to argue (apparently) that of course turbo lag is still a thing. In 9th or 10th gear, highway speeds at 1500-1800 rpm, the turbos will take several seconds to attain full boost. If you want quick power, it will require a downshift. That also takes time, and isn’t…
My mistake! you are most certainly correct. Dunno why I was convinced of that, oh well.
What was it ?!?
Most people would agree that the cummins is a better motor, for almost all the vintages of the B. But in this era (early 2000s) they came in the absolute shittiest truck imaginable, the dodge ram. Constant electrical malfunctions, a dashboard that explodes into pieces, seats that dissolve into dust, a body that rusts…
Just minor note, the 7.3 powerstroke do have EGR. Everything did by then.
Yeah those wheels are Rays, right? Sick stock wheel.
Pay it forward works great for uniforum pricing applications, like a toll booth on the turnpike or bridge/tunnel, etc. Random orders at starbucks? hell no, I’m not paying for whatever super grande garbage diabetes drink you ordered.
I should have watched the video. Was basing my comment on the gif, seeing one spin and then the other spin up to join it. Thats how my 2500HD rear diff works, takes a second to get the 2nd tire spinning. Could it be an LSD, but this dude is just pumping the gas pedal on/off?
This. all of this. VW guys get it. Been putting snow tires on my VWs (well, all my cars) for 20 years now.
Wat. Snow tires are most certainly not over-rated. And there is almost no negative impact to dry performance; they are softer and stickier. The only downside is a minor mpg loss, and they wear faster.
Why don’t you just get some proper tires and not drive like a grandma, though? Fuckin sucks to have to constantly pass and blast around all you grannies. Actually j/k, I kinda enjoy it. Snow tires pay for themselves, just get some.
it’s just not something anyone would have seen coming
I agree. Terrible choice by this young man , his family should accept it and move on.
I mean c’mon dude, don’t purport to be some objective individual and then post a citation-less assertion that’s easily debunkable. UAH specializes in studying the temperature of the troposphere. Good stuff, no doubt, but thats not the same as global surface temperature. One of the top dudes at UAH was a favorite of…
This isn’t a basic water hydrant though, its snowmaking. I see from quick internet searching, that to push water uphill with enough pressure at the top to make snow, ~400 psi in many systems.
