Ok and we heard directly from the CDC earlier this summer that viral loading in breakthrough cases can be just as high.  Or did they change their mind again.

Whats your data source for this assertion? Random claims from the CDC? I’ve been searching earnestly and cannot find any such claims with real data backing them up. The CDC decided intentionally not to track breakthrough cases earlier this year, after all.  But after the mass breakthrough outbreak in Mass earlier this

Almost every single person working in my R & D facility would be very hard to replace.  We’ve thinned our team down to critical members only over the last several years.  HR fights to retain anyone threatening to leave.

It is. Very dependable 2.7 to 3.5% regardless of inflation, with periodic market adjustments on top of that. We’ll see if they bump it this year for inflation and employee retention reasons.

Haha.  Well paid engineers who get to tinker with engines for 35 hrs a week don’t tend to form unions.

I should have mentioned that I did already get a 4% mid-year raise. And we’ll get at least 3% more in january. But inflation has actually been well under 3% for the last decade. When your mortgage payment is fixed and you make over 100k, 3-4% per year does just fine.

We’ll see what they offer in january. I forgot to mention in my first comment that I did already get a 4% bump this year. Could be 3% in january, or it could be 6.

Same. Every year when I get a 3 or 4% raise, it’s like I could afford a whole ‘nother car payment.

This is true, but I’m comfy and like my job.

Meh, I get paid a good bit over 6 figs to do fun engineering stuff for ~35 hrs a week, so I’m not greedy at this point. My initial comment was not thought through. I did already get a 4% bump this year and will get the annual raise in january.

Wow, I didn’t really think my comment through and am kinda overwhelmed by the responses. Should have mentioned that I actually did get a 4% raise already this year, unsolicited. We normally get 3% every year and periodic extra adjustments every 4-5 years. But indeed we might receive more than 3% this january to

They turned down a 6% raise?  Because of how profitable the company was over the last year?  Hmmmm.  More power to ‘em, I ain’t gonna hate.  But I’d love to get a 6% raise for 2022; mine will probably be 3% like it always is.

I think it came across nice and clear.  Echos what a lot of other reviews have pointed out also.  A decent update, but... not exciting.

Jesus christ, the kid and his family haven’t even issued a single apology yet?

More stars here, folks.  Finally we have some background info.

Right. No one should go on a cruise. And basically no one should have a private jet for frivolous travel. Just because we mostly all suck at reducing our carbon emissions doesn’t make it ok for any of us to waste a shitload of resources for no reason.

If the FSD works well enough... you could be allowed to drink while the car drives for you?

Eh, we should all sort of care though? It’s just pathetic and shitty human behavoir. Trying to be “first” for your phone just to vlog about it is selfish vanity, we should admonish those idiots and not celebrate them. Driving excessively far for basically no reason is a waste of our planet’s precious, finite resources

LOL, so true.  Hopefully FSD Beta 10.2 will constrain these cars to doing endless loops around highway onramps, then.  After all, safety first, right?
