You know what else is sad? Death wobble.
You know what else is sad? Death wobble.
You are being ridiculous. You would only need to stop once for lunch, to add 200 miles back to the Lucid. Still just a one day trip, bud. You obviously don’t understand how this works, because someone driving an old cruze diesel is also obviously not researching or shopping for a Lucid air.
I take bi-weekly 1000 mile road trips and I never stop to pee. This car just wont work for me, sadly.
Um, you may have noticed the part where the cops were dealing with white people? ACAB is often a response to the statistically verified fact that cops treat people of color differently under the same scenarios.
Yeah sure, but he ditched her in the desert, drove home alone, and didn’t report her missing? If I was him, I would have been the one going to the police in the first place.
Well the actual bad sign is that no matter what happened, he ditched his fiance in the desert and drove home alone; clearly he didn’t report her missing or seem to give a crap about her. So yeah.... bad sign indeed.
Don’t listen to David, he worked for FCA producing tractors masquerading as road worthy vehicles. My friends and family all love VWs, 7 out of 8 have been flawless. One did keep failing water pumps, but not even that big a deal.
Pretty judgmental coming from someone who worked at FCA; producing vehicles just slightly above agricultural tractor grade. Torch absolutely knew what maintenance that Tiguan needed, and he ignored it. And your first friend just needed a new clutch cylinder? hardly a disaster.
seriously...
Anecdotes are anecdotal, but here’s mine: out of friends and families with VWs, only a single one has had a recurring mechanical problem requiring dealer assistance and repair bills; my wifes 2010 passat wagon (2.0L TSI w/ DSG). Fantastic car overall, but rear main seals and coolant pumps aren’t super fun to swap. 7…
Go look at any Chevy or GM - probably looks the same. The angle of this photo is from below since it’s on a semi-trailer. Probably doesn’t look too bad from above. P.S. the truck is angled uphill, up a ramp. The top of that bumper should be pretty level when on level ground.
Well, it’s a nice fundraiser on the side, but it’s still ultimately a big dick wave by Jared. He even used the words “do something nice along the way” while achieving his personal dream of flying to space.
I remember when my family moved to Michigan in 1998, I noticed that the University of Michigan had many EV rangers as campus service vehicles. Made perfect sense.
indeed. Furthermore the R1T is a bad ass vehicle. Reliability TBD, but no compromises made.
Thanks did not realize that. I still sort of consider anything with a pile of 12V lead acid batteries under the seats, to be essentially a golf cart.
Ha. I’ve touched 140 ish in my 1st gen Eclipse. Was not smart, thankfully I survived my teenage years. More recent years, I consider 120 the safe limit for acceleration testing in my modded VWs. Plenty of empty highway stretches in rural parts of Michigan to briefly do this.
Indeed. I’ve gone ~155 on the autobahn in a brand new diesel Volvo s60. My coworker cooked that thing HARD, but it was pretty smooth and quiet also.
Raph with another trash headline, but ok.
Complete agree. Pushing much past 80 means crazy wind noise, darty handling, terrible fuel economy, and tons of risk, as you mentioned.
ha, true
