I think the gear selection numbers/letters were backlit, so, not just a sticker. And the telescoping/sliding plastic on fore/aft of the shifter is pretty rad. Classic 90s engineering right thur.

Same mirrors, yeah, but the wheel track and fenders are actually 7" wider than a regular f150. So it feels and drives a lot wider.
I guess because the larger vehicles are inherently more expensive to produce? Putting the same price cap regardless of vehicle style would mean that you could sell (for example) a luxury sedan, or base pickup. But there’s no reason to subsidize a luxury sedan choice, so the cap is lower on that vehicle class.
No. I was starting to think that also. Go on youtube and watch the everydayAstronaut dude interview Elon for 3 hours down at SpaceX. He is deeply involved with real rocket calculations and development.
More like whining and complaining about other people’s success. So stupid.
Lol seriously, such a stupid take. Watched The EverydayAstronaut dude interview Elon down at SpaceX in TX, he sounds like a real rocket scientist. Not just a pretend hypeman.
I mean, the raptor is indeed distinctly more ridiculous that “any other crew cab truck”. It’s like 4 inches wider, real fun to park next to in a lot. It has 35" tires to ensure it gets low teens mpg around town, for no useful reason. It can hardly tow or carry shit in the bed, due to the baja-grade suspension. Every…
I mean, not really. Z71 is what, just skid plates, shocks and tires? This package clearly adds capability.
It’s strange that you don’t seem to understand this. Whether or not people drive on the street like it is a race track (some do, unfortunately), the concept and feel of a higher performing car is still aspirational. It sells cars.
No said it is “better”, we would say it is “faster” and that is somewhat objectively proven with these results.
Lol. You are the one obsessing over the cosplay comic-book trucks like this one is somehow really lame in comparison. This is a far better truck for everyone who isn’t blasting through desert baja (which, btw, is literally everyone)
Fair point.
They don’t want to actually spend money on making things... just need a mostly-working prototype so you can suck up pre-order deposits. Seems overtly criminal, but here we are.
Lol, just replace “elio” with your name and it makes a great breakup speech indeed.
Mercedes added an edit. Sounds like it took 15 minutes of work to un-stick it, after it was stuck for a little while. Makes sense that 4 or more ships would be delayed behind it though, they go through the canal in convoys. There’s probably strategic tug boats stationed periodically along the canal too, for rapid…
18"s with 33" tires are tiny? You are weird, sir.
Seriously, the raptor/trx comparisons are completely delusional. This is a much more reasonable daily driver pickup.
But maybe they gave it 2 buttons, and linkage and a complicated motor arrangement to do a fancy trick and fold into the firewall or something cool.
And yet the most prevalent comment here is how weak-sauce this truck is compared to a raptor or TRX. Talk about insecurity and erectile disfunction...
Completely disagree, your take is trash. This is obviously NOT a direct raptor or TRX competitor. This is a truck for people with reasonably sized penises who just want a good off roader that still makes sense to daily drive, and still works a nice, normal truck. The 6.2 is an awesome motor and will return…
