My dad is in his 70s but he’s been way better than a lot of my friends’ dads who were younger. I could talk to my dad and he would listen to my opinions and take them seriously. He does talk me up to his friends and is proud of my accomplishments.

Safe wild mushrooms can make people sick if they’re not properly cooked. The ones she had for her recipes needed to be cooked. I wonder who checks to make sure the recipes are safe. Especially for her cookbook since it involves people foraging for plants to eat. You want to make sure the information is accurate.

I read that article earlier. I can see why she and Ailes got along. She’s not too smart because after Ailes was fired she didn’t seem to realize she didn’t have a protector anymore. I bet no one was happy when she tried to stump for him. No wonder she didn’t have another show.

I can see why that is one of the grossest and most awkward conversations ever. It’s also rather cruel because it’s saying the only type of rape that counts is when the penis is used.

A&E had a series about cults recently. They were featured. It talked to past cult members and went into the psychology of cults. It was disturbing how many of them include sex abuse.

I hate the myth of rugged individualism because it makes people selfish and think people who are struggling are not trying hard enough. Not everyone has the same access to resources. Some places are closed to people. Honestly, working hard does not always mean you’re going to become a “success.”

There is a boy I know who has a genetic disorder that predisposes him to anxiety. He is absolutely obsessed with video games to the point that he has no interest in anything else. It helps him cope with the anxiety. I worry about him because it affects his sleep and his schooling.
