I didn't watch any of those shows, either, though I've seen the Cosby clip of them singing Ray Charles' Night and Day on the stairs. I went from tween to adulthood in the 80s, and simply watched less and less TV as the decade wore on.

He's a hot young blond guy acting goofy, and all the other goofy-acting people out there feel validated by watching him. When you were little, didn't it feel GREAT when the cool, good-looking kids at school liked what you liked? Same thing here, I reckon.
