It’s not 100% all the time, but they do go to lengths to avoid contact if they are on a real mission. Obviously they have their own defense systems in case that fails, and I’m sure they expect it to fail, but they won’t make it easy.

Sure, but the general public doesn’t have access to those realtime satellite images.

I’m a LastPass fan.
When a ship is notably in a very public location, there is no more ‘classified’ to it’s location. So why try to hide it? Many times it’s in their best interest to let the opponent know it’s nearby. But when a ship goes dark, I can pretty much guarantee you won’t know where it is.
The hypermilers call it ‘pulse and glide’. Not everybody does it right though...
Cuomo also got to drive the equally fun, interesting and environmentally friendly Chevy Volt at the show.
Have you spent much time in a Gen1 Volt? The suspension is very well designed, for a small car with so much weight it stays quite flat in the corners. I run good summer tires and it corners like a slot car. Combine that with the silent electric torque and it’s actually pretty fun to drive hard.
I’ll argue that it’s not a boring car. It’s quick enough to not be a boring commuter, and they put a LOT of work into the suspension so that there is little body roll even with the added weight of the batteries etc. I use sticky summer tires and it corners like a little slot car - a LOT of fun to drive! As far as…
Good point. I still wouldn’t want to tow it. It’s different if we are cleaning up a wreck off the side of the road, I’m not overly worried about more damage to an already ruined car... but I wouldn’t want to try to pick that thing up with the equipment I used to have.
They would. I would not do it if that were my tow call though.
Thanks for wasting my time. I selected the Steering Column Casing and Instrument Cluster Surround in Leather option to push me over the $200K mark. Rear wheel steering too, what fun this thing will be!
I wouldn’t try to pick that up with any tow truck I ever drove. Wouldn’t want the liability for damage. (fortunately I don’t drive a tow truck anymore. It was fun while it lasted though)
I feel like I watched a different video than what he got flagged for. That doesn’t look like a drift, only one rear wheel was smoking and he wasn’t countersteering much... just came out of the turn a little heavy on the throttle is all. That’s certainly no ‘drift’. But I don’t know the rules of the track or event.
That didn’t look like sideways action, he just came out of the turn a little heavy on the throttle. Not even countersteering much! Seriously, am I looking at a different video than you? I’ve been sideways on a track, it involves countersteer - I don’t think he was even steering the wrong way yet! What am I not seeing…

I’m just saying that Android Auto and Apple Carplay are not fine - all of the interfaces still need improvement, no matter which source they come from.
It’s also too heavily reliant on Siri, which still doesn’t understand me well.
Not to mention Apple Carplay isn’t getting great reviews. Yes it works, but there are still a lot of issues to work out. There is nothing wrong with putting a lot of effort towards improving infotainment systems though - because most of them suck badly. Especially pretty much anything with a touch screen. It’s a…
