Or just sell it. I’d rather see some corrupt politician pocket the money from it’s sale than see it just get wrecked.

Yeah, that’s the first thing I found! But that’s not the bluesmobile... well not the original. And it’s definitely not the chez paul!

Most of the issues I see in cars are design flaws, not assembly problems. I’m a little worried about how the Buick Envision will hold up, but just because it’s made in China doesn’t automatically make it crap.

The fact that they have not taken sight lines and road conditions into account in their cone placement has placed a bunch of people in danger.

Yes! Thank you!

I was hoping to read that he called the police instead of just complaining at the comcast guys about their crappy warning/safety arrangement.

Although it’s really more about overall safety - this job should have been rescheduled for not in icy weather, or had a traffic assistant/flagperson added. Not so much about their ‘by the book’ cone placement. The ‘cone placement rule’ the driver was stuck on MUST have some variation for inclement weather or dangerous

It looked to me like he was trying to power his way back to pavement so he wouldn’t be stuck so far off the road. When traction is that bad, use momentum whenever possible!

That was a slick move. I can’t figure out why I can’t find one - can anyone add an animated gif of the bluesmobile parking in front of the chez paul?

(Mcflipper, this is the answer)

Easy - warm up your car for 20 minutes every morning.

As altitude goes up, the need for octane goes down. So ‘regular’ 87 becomes 85. ‘Super’ 91 or 93 becomes 90. No harm done.

Where’s the accompanying video? Because I really need to see #4 to understand how to do it properly.

Congrats on COTD! I can verify this - in 2008 when we were buying our family wagon I did buy the manual, and it was only available in base trim. VW had three levels of Passat Wagon in ‘08 - base trim “Turbo”, nicer “Komfort” and top trim “Something I can’t remember”. Turbo was only available with FWD and the 2.0 TSI

Cool! I’ve been driving my ‘13 Volt for almost 4 years now and still love it every day. It’s one of the few cars I’ve been in where commuting in stop and go doesn’t just suck, I imagine the plugin CT6 would only improve that! Enjoy!

This car is definitely not for me. But I find it hard to imagine anyone in the $75000 car bracket caring much about saving a few gallons of gas. There are definitely some out there, but talk about targeting a niche market... good luck Cadillac!

Awesome! I find it hard to digest that you are paying off student loans and shopping for $75000 cars, but good for you!

Nice if you can afford that level of car. Otherwise I can’t figure out who they are targeting. Otherwise there is the Volt which can do your DD in electric mode and has no problem with a 300 mile trip.

Well... here’s the thing. The ELR was an odd little car. Take a 1st gen Volt and make the rear seat hard to get in and out of, and make it too expensive. That’s going to fail. This is a full size sedan - I’ve been asking GM for years to put the Voltec drivetrain into a larger vehicle. A mid sized Buick would be a

Grandma, raindeer, you name it I run over it. Seriously, have you never heard this? Many tires just make noise while rolling.
