Me likey too :)
Excuse me sir, that’s Glorious SV Master Race!
I like it, article was a good read.
Fair enough, pretty sure I did outline all that in a few comments (and some were sarcasm) but Kinja blows hard for following discrete conversations once more than a couple people are talkingunder the same top level reply.
? Sorry, what? What gave you that idea? (I’m genuinely curious here)
Joking (sort of)
If I had a high dollar car I’d also think differently, for my FR-S however, I’m able to write it off if I have to. Even then, bought a Miata recently to take up most track activities so I can worry even less about potential loss.
Ding ding ding!
Ok I agree there, I’d probably have a different opinion if didn’t own my car outright and have other vehicles for daily driving.
You’d probably have a few dollars. If I had $200 for every time a driver bought insurance and didn’t crash I’d be able to make a decent business out of it.
On the subject of insurance, often times the cost is not justified, at least in my case. $200 to cover my car on a pretty safe track could buy a whole nother track day, or brakes, or a fancy oil change, or a down payment on tires :/
You seem to have missed the sarcasm.
Actually a little of both! Couldn’t resist the chance to use it in a semi relevant manner.
Thanks Obama
It’s not mine lol. Even if I had the funds, I’m more of a beater miata/240sx type personally. Something I can rip on cheaply, without guilt. The 458 belonged to dream racing at Las Vegas speedway (BTW awesome experience, well worth it). Agree that the yellow looks ridiculous, but god damn what a car to drive, and I…
It has ruined new bikes for me.
Years ago, I was doing some street tuning on my SV650. I did a power run on an pretty abandoned highway late at night. Got tagged by a motorcycle cop who was behind an embankment when I was doing probably 130 or so. The bike didn’t have any gauges at the time so I really don’t have any idea how fast I was going, but…
I do it all the time. My cars all have a really tight pedal box so when my left foot kicks in looking for a clutch, it ends up hitting the side of the unusually wide brake pedals they put in nearly all autos.
