Around this time last year one of my coworkers approached me and asked if I’d be interested in starting up a Lemons team. Within a few weeks we’d rounded up about three more and set about trying to find a car. We all had different requirements, some wanted reliability, easy to find spares, robust aftermarket support.…
This place had freaking Groms hanging from the ceiling.
A few months ago a friend of mine mentioned that he was looking to sell a few of his shop cars so he could make room for newer platforms. I had been in love with a certain yellow s2000 of his since I’d first seen it, so I asked about it. He gave back a number that was WAY lower than I expected, so a few weeks ago I…
Super excited, been wanting to pick one up for a while, and this particular one has always been my favorite.
Buddy who just picked up that Z50 brought it over to do some troubleshooting. I had no idea they were so tiny
I am supremely jealous. It’s in the back of a mighty max for those that don’t know, it’s not exactly a large truck.
Found a group of obvious car enthusiasts when I went out for food, naturally I took the first open spot I could find.
I’ve been toying with the idea of picking up a beater truck as a replacement for the BMW. Owning 3 cars when my primary mode of transportation is a motorcycle feels a little silly and the BMW doesn’t get driven all that much. I need something with a little more carrying capacity (for those that do not know, the E39…
I spent last night working on my new garage sale Honda Aero. I was able to get it to run, but the starter, headlight, and dash lights were not working. I solved the starter issue pretty easily, dirty button plus improperly pinned connector on the wiring harness.
But yeah, I couldn’t pass this up. I lasted about 3 months since the sale of my last Aero. It’s a little more expensive than my last one was, but it’s a better year with more performance parts available.
Ever have one of those days where you wake up and decide to do something you know is stupid? I had one of those days on Saturday when I called a few of my riding buddies with “Hey, I’ve got nothing going on. Let’s take the 50cc bikes to the coast” After assuring them multiple times that I was serious, we met up, set…
So after my post last week, I was jonesing for a Street Triple really bad. I couldn’t get over how it felt like a perfect SV, only with power and refinement. I went out and bought this low mileage (2100 miles !?!) 2014 Street Triple R on Sunday.
Picked up the yet to be named replacement for deathtrap (my SV650). Bigger write-up tomorrow, I just thought this photo was entertaining
I’ve had my SV for a long time now, and it’s always been my favorite street bike. I’ve been on a ton of demo rides, but every time I got back on the SV, I still felt satisfied. All the other bikes I’d been cross shopping were either too heavy, or too powerful (for reasonable road use), too uncomfortable, or too…
Think the Bentley owners were a little surprised that it got more attention.
I found a cheap Honda Ruckus on the internet
Actually like it a lot more in person, way more subtle than it looks in pics
Finally got around to putting handlebars bars back on the SV. I found myself not riding it much due to the discomfort of the super low GSXR clip ons I’ve had on ever since I did the fork swap.
Now is the part of my day where I find out it is within budget but agonize over whether or not it is $8000 better than Partygirl.
My little ‘85 Honda Aero is off to a new owner and new adventures. I realized as I was signing over the title that I’ve owned this longer than any of my other bikes, longer than I’ve owned any single bike. I’m going to miss this goofy little thing.
