My wife and I were talking about finally paying off our house in the next 7 - 8 years. I work in the real estate industry, and keep looking at these crazy low interest rates everyone is getting, but having no house payment in a few years is will be so nice.

I have this feature on my Focus and my wife’s Explorer. Very handy to have, as I’ve unintentionally locked my keys in the car at least once since I’ve owned it, and do lock my keys in on purpose when I don’t want to have them with me for some reason. My kids know the code as well, so they can open the car if they need

You should have just put pasties on the headlights. With tassels. Just to keep it classy.

Jalopnik did this in the past. 4,400 is gross vehicle weight. Curb weight is about 3,300 lbs, per Car & Driver recent road test.

That 12 mile commute is for you. I regularly drive over 100 miles in a day, in stop and go traffic and in rural areas with little infrastructure, in all kinds of weather.

Price is one thing. Range is the other. And when people talk about range, they typically mean in sunny southern California. The biggest hang-up I have, is the substantial decrease in range in the winter months. 250 miles is OK in the summer, but less than 175 on a charge in February is not ideal. And waiting a 1/2

People buy a car to perform a task. If that task is: fun to drive, fast but not too fast, then Miata is your answer. When my wife and I were young and expecting our first kid, the task was “family car”. Therefore, it had to hold two adults, a baby in a car seat and all the assorted items that come with that.

My wife and I took our two teenage kids to the drive in to watch Avengers Endgame, as ever other theater was sold out. We all crammed in the back of our 3rd gen Explorer. Not the most comfortable. Next time, we take lawn chairs and blankets for two, and snacks galore.

That 300+ mile range is possible in southern states and/or in the summer months. I’d expect 3/4's of that range or less in the middle of February up in Ohio. I regularly drive well over 150 miles in a day, so a long range EV would be a pretty good fit for me. However, the decrease in range during the winter months

They run a “soft” credit check on everyone who rents a car from them.

Hertz can burn, as far as I care. I wanted to rent a car from them last February, and was refused because of a poor credit history. Mind you, that was due to a prior medical concern during the last economic downturn. I can easily pay the rental fee now, but for some reason, my credit score dictates whether or not I’m

Jeep sold 228,000 Wranglers this year. Chevy has sold 58,000 Blazers this year. Jeep has a plant dedicated to producing Wranglers and the Gladiator. They usually can’t keep up with demand, and have three shifts building Wranglers. I don’t think FCA is worried about GM taking market share away from their Jeep division.

Have two kids. A 2005 T & C with stow & go was awesome. We got 25-30 mpg on the highway. Fairly reliable as well. Chrysler knows how to make a good van.

This my 80's retro bike I still ride.

Hey, don’t knock marble racing until you’ve watched a few. Very exciting!

Hmmm, must be a replicant..

The article from last week was from Justin, about how Acura is terminating the RLX. He wrote how the V-8, RWD Legend/RLX just never really caught on in the US of A. I was the first to reply about how Acura has never had a V-8, RWD car. Justin edited the article and removed the V-8 reference.

I got a craftsman torque wrench a few years ago as a Christmas gift. Broke the first time I used it.  My HF wrench is just fine for my diy work.

I do a good deal of shopping at HF, much like Andrew, as I get things that are essentially wear & tear items, look drill bits, cut off wheels, etc.                    What I think HF is missing the boat on is higher quality tools, as many hardware stores go out of business, and Sears is becoming irrelevant in many
