Can I just say that I hate Tom Cruise? I mean, as a teenager, I loved him in Risky Business and Top Gun (I had a college roommate in Navy ROTC, so you can imagine how many times I saw the movie). But I have not been able stand him as a person or an actor for a really long time.

My precise comment to someone earlier today. Men can act until they croak. Women? Not so much.

If Tom Cruise is in charge of this film...and why wouldn’t he be!...why on earth would he want McGillis or Kilmer in this film? He’s still an action star and they both look like, well, 60 year olds. Maybe he throws them a bone and they have a cameo...but this will be a TOM CRUISE movie, not a Top Gun Part 2 movie.

$50 says Cara Delevingne and her soul-sucking “acting” are going to get the job.

Hey I’m a Hollywood casting exec and I was not aware that women lived that long. Anyway look out for the film I’m casting now. You’ll love it! It’s a modern day retelling of Driving Miss Daisy and I’m so close to signing Millie Bobbie Brown in the lead roll.

Not holding my breath.

I was just talking about that this morning. I will be surprised as hell if they let a 60-year-old, short-haired, bigger-than-a-size-4 lesbian who appears not to have had plastic surgery anywhere near this movie. Not holding my breath.

Not for long. NH House seat just flipped, a district that has never elected a Dem. Kansas was closer than it should have been, and Montana and Georgia are polling like that too. I think its going to be death by 1,000 cuts. I think FOX News viewership dipping is a litmus test. I think that’s the tip of the iceberg.

Actually a life long military man is less likely to see military solutions as the best ones. They have the perspective. Remarks by Senator Chuck Hagel are emblematic of this viewpoint: Many of those who want to rush this country into war and think it would be so quick and easy don’t know anything about war. They come

Impeaching AND removing Trump isn’t good because it gives us a good president, it’s good because it removes an awful one and hamstrings the fuckstick replacing him in 2020. There’s no magic bullet that undoes all of this, regardless of what your favorite Left Twitter personalities are telling you.

No, our best hope is that all of the gets drug out until 2018. Which is probably what’s going to happen. Once Trump is impeached or resigns (I’ve got $100 on resign) Congress will grind to a halt and the GOP will get nothing done. Once Trump is out and then prosecuted, the entire government will be hyper focussed on

Ok, ISIS rep. we’ve spotted you. We aren’t taking the bait.

I agree with you completely. However, hyperbole is the official language of the internet, especially where clicks count.

But if they don’t slide to one extreme or another, how are they going to get ad views? Only extreme viewpoints get clicks these days. No one cares about nuance or fair, balanced reporting.

Welcome to Lifehacker, where we just found out about a study and we’re going to scold you if you’ve been living life at odds with that study. So unenlightened.

I say it! It’s a great word, and I’m not sorry.

Well said, thanks. It’s a real loss that we’re losing neutral journalism. I know there is no such thing as ‘unbiased’ reporting, but an attempt would be nice. There seems to be no attempt at stating facts without feeling the need to interject hyperbole and opinion, especially for online bloggers, and TV “news” (and,

Pretty sure Deadwing was asking rhetorical questions directed at Twitter and the users and not Susmita.

This business is such a mess, they should just go off of county lines and only venture outside those when needed and set limits to how far outside a county line a boundary can go.
