This isn’t car related but it was desperate and it did involve a driveshaft. My sailboat started leaking profusely at the propeller driveshaft stuffing box while I was in 12,000 foot deep. i dove under the boat and wrapped a condom around the shaft to slow the leak down enough so that the bilge pump wasn’t working…
