Tell that to the millions of Americans who became opioid addicts because their doctors prescribed it to them with zero warnings.
“I guess I made the choice to be a junkie when my leg was crushed in that industrial accident.”
They are still racking up arrests. And what kills me is most of these people had GREAT successful lives yet were convinced that their lives were in jeopardy by things that do not effect them in any way possible.

I have it on good authority that Interstellar is extremely jealous of Solaris.
Another small victory for true freedom and democracy and against Republican fascism and criminality. Peace.
Hearing Scott and Paul talk about Jay (without using his name) having an upcoming appearance on that show The News, I always felt a little pang in my heart. I always rooted for Jay when I saw him in something, it’s just a bummer he decided to be a prick. One thing I don’t get was that like a million people confirmed…
I’m glad he’s facing consequences for participation in the insurrection. But sad to see him fallen so low. He was a great part of a lot of great shows over the years.

My Name is Earl (2006 vs Mulaney’s 2014) is an AA show without the alcoholism, just the amends. I mean, where do you think the name comes from!? “Hi, my name is X, and I’m an alcoholic...” — right?
Save the last two seasons, I loved it. The recovery stuff wasn’t too preachey and the supporting characters (regular and guest stars) really elevated the show.
Most stories about people in AA are.
I was thinking about Mom. Maybe Chuck Lorre had the power to get such an a premise greenlit but 2015 Mulaney didn’t. Mom is also a show that wasn’t shy about changing premises when the original one didn’t work. Imagine if Mulaney could dump Martin Short, Elliott Gould and Zach Pearlman the way Mom dumped the kids and…
What’s weird is it seems there are several shows with that exact same premise that have come out since Mulaney. Single Drunk Female comes to mind immediately, as does Mom, which would have probably been in the same pilot cycle as the NBC Mulaney show.
