Even if Biden wins, after seeing the GOP keeping the senate, and having people like McConnell win their election, it’s a very empty win. Not much to be happy about.

My fear now is that because this was a “close” race (depressingly so) you’ll have four years of Trump and the GOP now shaped in his image playing the “stolen election” mantra and causing a new landslide against a Democratic party still more happy to be at war with itself than anyone one.
I am torn. I put $1000 on Biden to win, but would like to see 4 more years of Trump to piss you guys off. Well, either way I will be happy, which is why I made the bet to begin with. A true win-win scenario. No doubt the recounts will start soon and eventually this winds up in front of the Supreme Court, like I and…
What I am not understanding is that Trump did better in so many racial and gendered demographics than in 2016 with the exception of white men.
Right. Next time, go with the progressive.
#BernieWouldHaveWon....without the sweat. But no, black America needed to put Biden front and center. Fuck you.
If Trump wins
You best tone down your use of the R word that is why the race was/is so close.
Most don’t want a rachet like this in charge of anything and they fear that they would grow wild if Biden was in power or should say his lack power in regards to keeping a lid on people like her.
#BernieWouldHaveWon.
I guess white people are literally willing to die to keep white supremacy alive.
Why? Because most people don’t obsess about politics. How can you fix it? Stop calling them dopes.
The only real voting bloc that matters is dog owners vs cat owners.
The news focuses on undecided voters because they frequently decide elections. Yes, the ‘soccer mom’ trope ignores “feminists, older women, women on welfare, women of color and professional women.” - because most of those women typically vote for Democrats! That’s a story with no conflict, no question, no hook. By the…
Anytime you are grouping that many people the results are in accurate. The "Black" vote, "Hispanic" vote, etc. fall into the same problem. It's convenient as a generalization but that's about it.
“Namely, that white women, who have predominantly voted for Republicans in presidential elections, and who are regularly conditioned to overlook and participate in injustice—including misogyny—in exchange for access to comfort and power, shouldn’t have been surprising”
It’s that Democrats are exceptionally good at turning on one another. This is built-in, due to the fact that the party is fairly multi-cultural and is made up of groups that can’t really truly agree on a single issue. But, when Bernie lost.. it was the fiendish ‘corporate DNC’ bloc. So, the best way to stick it to…
But you don’t think that the author (and this site as a whole, given how they’ve addressed white female voters in the past) is trying to have it both ways? On the one hand, now that the press is playing up white female voters as the bloc that could make a difference in giving Biden a victory, they are being dismissed…
You know, it’s interesting that the only time Jezebel has acknowledged that the 52% statistic was overblown, is in an article where they want to debunk the idea that those same white women who voted for Trump in 2016 have now changed their minds and are going to vote for Biden. And I’m not saying this to defend these…
