Except after 20 years most states consider a car a classic and it doesn’t have to meet any regs. An imported car that’s less than 20 years old would more likely be used as a daily, while one old enough to technically be a classic would more likely be a second/project car.

It’s always been. It’s just the news cycle picks up on this stuff more now. Like the year after Newtown (I think) every other day there was a “school shooting” on the news, to some degree. But the actual number of school shooting was down.
That still doesn’t have anything to do with the powered wheels though. That’s just from the weight shifting forward, the same exact thing will happen in a FWD car if you enter the corner the same way. That’s why high powered FWD cars like the Type-R have functional wings.
