Bitchenette?
Bitchenette?
I came to say this. But I wonder where the person is from if she is really more familiar with the sea cucumber that is a sea creature than the vegetable we put on sandwiches and salads.
I stay at motels and hotels a lot (but only one B&B that I can remember) and for the most part I don't like having my room cleaned, I just like it to be really clean when I get there and have it clean for the next person when I leave. I usually do not need the bed made or whatever, it's either something I can do…
I know, right?
I do sometimes miss the free popcorn.
Well, which is it? Is it bad to live off of your parents or is it bad to take a menial job so you don't have it.
Can't. It's a two egg breakfast.
Actually, the sun is moving too, we just can't see it, so that would probably screw up trying to use the emergency brake.
Dogs wearing people disguises?
There's lactose free milk now, so there must be lactose free cheese, right? Maybe that's what she meant?
Everybody does that. It's just if a minor burn is still causing you pain, you can't stand in front of the sink all day.
If she were in Texas like me, this would be stupid (and I've actually had this discussion with someone who still was trying to get out of it). But this is someplace that doesn't have the sub-minimum wage nonsense, and she knows that they make the same hourly wage she does. She maybe could have said it nicer.
I have never been a waitress, but I briefly tried to get that sort of job. One interview the manager mentioned that they did this, but that they did not do this very often. I have to imagine that since he brought up the subject he's one of the few who actually did what he was supposed to. But I also got the…
Crap.
Now see that person's rant was more like what I expected to read in the article, not that one person who makes minimum wage doesn't want to tip another person who makes that same minimum wage.
I have never been a waitress. I've worked at fast food places and retail and a few other similar things. They are about the same. Some places are better than others either because of location or management. So Corn Dog on a Stick was usually better than Kmart.
Main reasons I used to go there I don't have to wait for stuff (except for the sodas) and I don't have to tip. Oh, wait, I've been doing it wrong. Damn.
I wish I had gone to the original site and just read it all the way through without reading all this stuff with it. Like the stuff about China. I had to go read it again to find out what she said about China. The only thing she said about China was that she went there and she wasn't expected to tip. That wasn't…
After I actually read the part about the law where she lives and how she doesn't tip people who already make the same hourly as she does, I didn't think it was all that bad. But that part isn't at the beginning, so people either miss it or are already mad by the time they get that far.
That's what I did too. Then I found out that there were paid like only $3 an hour at Golden Corral. I don't see how a buffet gets to count them as waitstaff, but some of them do.
