Yes. I'm still waiting for some explanation as to why the waitstaff would need some extra percentage that they didn't need before. Like, if they needed an extra amount to share with the hostess and and busboys. Except, so far as I know, they have always done that, so this isn't a new expense that they need extra

We decided to risk a few bucks rather than risk our camera. And we got our picture. And our camera is now safe, though he has several new cameras and doesn't use the film one anymore. We did have doubts about the photographer, cause I would think that international postage would eat up most of the money the guy

I'm guessing tourists here have seen things I've not seen either, cause I'm not looking for them.

That's fine. She can tip 20-25%. She can tip 50-100% if she wants to. Just the bit about other people needed to stay home if they can't tip $5 on $20. Stay home if you can't tip $3 on $20, sure, but just cause she wants to tip extra she shouldn't tell other people to stay home.

I'm saying that $1.50 then spends the same as $3.00 now. I'm paying $3 now if I spend $20 (or if it would have been $20 before coupons or something). Why would anybody say that I should be paying $4 much less $5 now. I'm not getting an extra percentage of spending money, why am I supposed to be tipping extra? I

I did read that stuff. I did not know to tip the Beafeater, but everyone else was doing it. We agreed to tip the guys on the boat in exchange for something we hadn't already paid for. And we also agreed to pay the girl for her picture so she would come out and pose for us. And once we paid someone to take our

I don't know if rabbit is any good to eat.

Professionally cleaning that board is going to be expensive.

Waiting for a table is different, so I don't understand why we were kept waiting since so many tables were empty. Unless they had decided to send all the waitresses home, which they didn't, cause they were all over at that other table. We came in after one, and after two we left, cause I was starting to feel sick.

And that doesn't explain anything. It just says that some people are doing it.

I once left a restaurant after waiting half an hour for a table after the lunch hour rush (so I don't know why that took so long), and then another twenty minutes at the table and no waitress. And the place had plenty of waitresses, cause they all came to a nearby table to see somebody's service dog.

Well, the asshole part wasn't very nice, but...

I didn't get a reasonable answer from her either.

But you're not acting like it's up to me. You said that if we think $5 is too much to tip on $20, we should stay away from restaurants with waitstaff, just as I've told people who can't be bothered to tip $3. I'm very bitchy at people who don't leave the traditional 15% without a good reason, but I don't get why

But why $5 now when it has been $3? I don't go if I can't remember to bring an extra $3. Why are you looking down on people who don't pay nearly double what they've been taught they should?

You can always tip what amount you want, but I don't know why people now expect tipping should be more than 15%. Tipping a bit extra for a large group, maybe, cause it does look like extra work to me, but just in general, I don't get it.

It's been a while since I had any, but I don't think so.

Yes. You can't sue until you are leaving anyway. I mean you can, but you'd probably just lose more money.

Have never been in a cab, so never tipped any cabbies.

I tip at Sonic. I'm not sure what they get paid, so I tip just in case.
