The Look has a speaker, but it’s not a smart speaker like the rest; it’s really just a camera with a tiny speaker so it can tell you not to wear that top with those pants.

I’m all out of sarcasm today. Even though it’s technically what I’m asking about, that blasted video screen takes away the hide-in-plain sight feature I’m looking for.

Does anyone else think that a camera would be a nice feature on these smart speakers? Like the one on the MacBook. I’m thinking security/nanny cam stuff.

Wherever it was, you don’t want to go there now.

The only issue I had was that once the 2% universe physicist created the return-access machine for Nora...why didn’t he offer it to the leftovers there?

One caveat there - Mary was in a “coma” (or whatever that was), so she too could have been in purgatory. Assuming it wasn’t all in his head...

Maybe it’s because I had heard, without any spoilers, that it was a very good movie, that I felt let down. I’m going to give it a C+.

At the end of the fourth grade, my despicable wretch of a “teacher” sent a note to my parents stating with full confidence that I was going to have problems with drugs in high school. That wasn’t even in front of a crowd of other teachers and kids, but I didn’t understand why she said it, so I spent years convinced

This may be a fine line, but if the children being singled out are troubled, it’s even more cruel. Those kids are troubled because they don’t have the support they need - for whatever is going on with them - and this kind of shit just pulls the threadbare rug out from under them.

So...Besson and the Movie of 10,000 VFX shots?

I tried using ceramic (it was an older Slice model) for all of the same intended uses, at my old job a couple of years back. Like you, I liked it at first. The downside is, they’re incredibly brittle, which you’ll learn over time. Come across something hard (which only has to happen once) and they start losing

Seriously, stop putting beaks on cars.

I think the case could be made to tell a story with a different tone. In the 20 years since the original, so much more of our zeitgeist is driven by technology that could feed numerous different - and worthwhile - takes on this story. But if they’re just going to tell the same story, and try to out-tech it on

Everyone is distracted by the magnificent hair.

Unless you buy one of this year’s models, you won’t be able to anyway.

Not a huge fan of Eric McCormack, but the more episodes I watched, the more I appreciated the story arc. At the end of the season there are some very fun reveals about how things work in their world.

I used to work at HQ attached to the marketing group. It was an open secret that the “vote” for the 3 finalists was predetermined. It was funny hearing about the upcoming vote while the winning flavor artwork (along with “finalist”art for the others) was being approved.

You showed 4 of the Best of the Month kindle books...but didn’t include Charlie Jane Anders’ All the Birds in the Sky? How quickly we forget...

I watched all of them with my 2 Lego Airwolves, whose entire existence depended on that show just going and going. Also WTF was this:

Thanks, neglected to mention the processor, as I had assumed that 3-D was the only benefit they got from that.
