You don’t need to use force touch to edit type this way. This is a feature of iOS9. Use two fingers across the keyboard to move the cursor. Then tap or double-tap to select text.

The thing about Apple is, sometimes they aren’t the first tech company to offer a feature. But when they finally offer it, it’s always seamless and polished... and worth the wait.

I think Skype will have to update their app to take advantage of split-screen mode... or in their case the PIP video window feature. — Yesterday, I was watching Moonstruck while playing Words With Friends. So that was pretty cool. When Netflix or my TWC TV app are able to do PIP, I will be very happy.
