This is the only reason I can fathom for having a car like that...

That's very impressive. But there were two long straight lines that the mouse takes which kind of makes the 4-second record a bit meaningless. If the mouse had to do a dozen turns, it would probably take 10 or 15 seconds to do the same size maze. But, still cool none-the-less.

I kept telling her to use my system of injecting Crisco, pork rinds, helium and Applebee's chicken Alfredo. Her loss.

I'll use iTunes if the songs I want sell for 99¢ or albums for $9.99. Otherwise, I'll look for the same music on Amazon. Once you have the Amazon downloader installed, purchasing music from them is seamless.

...until you learn what happens when they put the pig in the dreaded spiral machine. Gruesome stuff, I assure you. Of course, the scalding hot honey machine is just as bad.

Oddly enough, @+[frothymixoflubeandfecalmatter] brings up Rick Santorum's Facebook page.

RE: The Logitech speakers: I'm assuming that "factory re-certified" is clever way of saying "refurbished", no? Up above it isn't indicated that they're refurbished.

Exactly. The last 3 photos are completely different from the others. I'm surprised the photographer didn't reshoot those. Which makes me wonder if he was trying to influence the outcome of the results.

So basically it's exactly like Apple's ecosystem, except Amazon is doing it. I'm still not clear on whether or not you can upload your own content to the device. Like if you wanted to rip CDs and DVDs and put them on your Fire. Exactly how closed is their system?

These are really impressive. It looks like highly detailed illustrations. The movie projector is very cool.

So if I do this, I'll instantly look like Chris Hemsworth? Where do I sign up?

That's too bad about having to use a Kindle device. I've got the app on my Mac and my iPad. But it is a clever bit of marketing by Amazon to get you to buy a Kindle. ...not that I'm ever going to do that. Ever.

You still need to have a cable/satellite provider to supply all the programming. I'm guessing they'd have to work out arrangements with ATT, Comcast, DirecTV, etc., no? Although I'm not sure any of them would want you to bypass their own DVR interfaces. So that could mean that Apple would have to make arrangements

I rip DVDs and copy YouTube videos (mainly music videos) to my iPad. I also use the Netflix app every day. When Amazon comes out with a video app for it, I'll use that too; and if they manage to get their Prime service on the Apple TV or PS3, I'll be ready for that too.

I haven't had many issues with the picture quality. But there have been a lot of picture freezing and complete dropping of the signal. I think our home is right on the edge of their service area. So I think that's part of the problem. But they have acknowledged that their service has been craptastic for a while, since

Can't we just engineer them to not be able to feed off humans? ...weaken their needle-thingies or something?

Unfortunately, stem cell meat is even gassier than cows, and will doom us all by destroying the ozone layer. So then scientists will have to come up with a way to replace the ozone using stem cells. The circle of life.

"Yes I like many of they."

LOL... exactly. Perhaps you'll only be able to play certain levels if you go to the Sahara desert or climb to the top of the Matterhorn. The gaming possibilities are endless... um... sorry, I meant nonexistent.

It said it was going to restore the back-up on my iPad 2, then it failed. Trying again...
