I have gotten notices of radar over a mile away from the officer, and I have gotten notices of laser (which are fucking LOUD) before the officer is in line of sight. It’s a passport (don’t remember the model), and it’s surprisingly good at picking up laser “echoes” as it bounces off terrain, cars, etc.

Weren’t the fan cars notoriously difficult to drive, as any separation from the road surface, e.g., running over curbing, would drastically reduce downforce?

There was a dude on something awful that plumbed the intake for his 70s Corolla with a supercharged GM 3.8 V6 into the passenger footwell. I remember him saying his ears would pop driving with the windows up.

Though I’m surprised to see them epoxy the whole damn floor. That gets expensive pretty quickly and sealed concrete is good enough for assembly.

There’s a difference between a great weekend car for sporty driving and something capable of pulling 3g or more through a turn. It’s so far beyond the skill of even trained drivers as to be nonsensical and useless. Pure fappery.

Why?

The R NineT is good enough, just give it that saddle leather seat and it’s golden.

Nissan Xterra. Parking lot. “I wonder how solid that ground is.”

Shit. You were at Charleston C&C the one weekend I wasn’t there.

Yeah they’ve come a long way with regards to fit, finish and the quality of their materials, but you can still tell that underneath it’s all truck. The difference in comfort and ride quality between it and the XC90 is stark.

The Suburban? Really? I know GM folks and even they have to admit that the car is not worth anywhere near as much money as they sell it for.

Was about to say, “at least he didn’t post the 4-spoke!”

Way better than it has any right to be. With the cage and a little splurging on the suspension (-25 laps... woops) it does surprisingly well. Very little body roll and a tendency towards understeer, but I was able to keep a lot of speed through the corners, and usually only got outdone on the straights because the

Because I’ve seen a lot of people react like that to water or snow and it’s always the same result. Car starts to pull one direction, they steer, car keeps pulling, they steer more, car is still pulling, they steer mTRACTION’S BACK OH GOD WHY IS THE CAR SPINNING?!?!?!

Too bad he blew it and initiated the skid himself. He clearly hydroplaned, turned the wheel in a panic, and when he regained traction the car jerked over and into the slide.

Oh hey a LeMons thread! Oh hey that looks like ECR! Oh hey holy shit that’s our car! And that’s me! YES!

The worst offender of this has to be pausing economy boarding while they serve drinks to the people in first class. You’ll have people standing there holding their luggage while attendants ask people what sort of wine they’d like after their long, arduous boarding process.

More cylinders more noise more better.

When I lived in the area this road was an absolute blast to shoot down early on a Sunday morning, and I guess the low usage of it helped in that regard.

I get it. It’s a momentary lapse in judgment, and one that that person will understand better than any of us for the rest of their lives. Is this kid a dangerous or violent individual outside of driving a car? Probably not. So why do we want to keep them separate from society aside from the satisfaction we get from
