Agreed, but I get the feeling neither you nor I are the Targa’s target demographic.

Don’t bring it back.
Yeah his attempted pass on Bottas was an absolute freakshow Forza move. Don't know what he was thinking.
Sometimes contact happens, but you don’t need to aim for contact like Verstappen.
Yeah how can someone be against penalties for unsafe release? Hey maybe if you can "accidentally" hit am opponent's pit crew on the way out they'll be too distracted to take care of their driver's stop! What a strategy!
Leclerc was owed racing room just as Verstappen had left the previous lap. Verstappen hadn’t completed the pass so Leclerc had zero reason to concede the corner. Leclerc fue everything right and Verstappen continued his same old nonsense of being too aggressive and dangerous a driver.
They only pay those workers fair wages so that a union can’t offer them something more. It’s about taking advantage of the union’s fight without chipping in or showing solidarity.
Sunroof or no? I’m 6', maybe a longer torso, but my head is almost in the headliner when I sit in a Giulia with a sunroof.
Yeah they’re track cars--not muscle cars. The low-end response is going to be lacking.
I did the GT3 experience with a friend at Porsche Atlanta for $900 and it was an absolute blast. One and a half hours on their handling course (including low-grip doriftu course) gives you a pretty good feel for the car, but still leaves a lot on the table. Trying to feel out a new car on a new course in that amount…
Exhaust to the rear, speakers to the front. LOUD EVERYTHING SAVES LIVES.
Hey thanks for this article coming up before the broadcast, spoiling the race. I guess it’s on me for absent-mindedly bringing up Jalopnik, but the broadcast wasn’t until 7:30. :(
I’ve spent a lot of time at tracks, and I’ve seen a lot of very fast cars get walked by spec miatas. Maybe some are being taken to the track, and I like that, but too many of these cars are simply beyond the limits of the people who can afford them, or they’re better off treating them well instead of damaging what…
Exactly, these cars are just dick-waving for the ultra-rich. Not a single one outside of the demo car for press shoots will be driven to its limits.
Will there be room for suitcases for the owner and the missus? For the most part these are weekend touring cars, and if you can’t fit suitcases what’s the point?
I did a lot of work for GM over the years, and never once owned a GM vehicle. I would get some light ribbing from employees sometimes but always told them that the car I bought fit my needs better and was significantly cheaper than their nearest “competitive” offering (the price difference between an Xterra and a…
He barely counter-steered and hit the brakes as soon as it went sideways even a little bit. This guy had no place driving that car, nannies or not.
Yeah absolutely do this. I rented a Scirocco R with a full cage and good tires/brakes for 400 Euro. Absolutely awesome and worth it.
Yeah but it’s more fun to dog-pile on someone for having a different take on something. It’s of course debatable if any one piece of safety equipment saved a life, but that doesn’t mean that it’s a bad idea or anyone was questioning its value.
I love the exhaust on that car. Monster huge pipes. I want so badly to be able to buy something similar for mine (at a vastly reduced price thanks in advance).
