At first I thought the “frozen snot” was kryptonite dust and wondered how/when he'd inhaled it.

Dunno about “sublimating their identities” in general but it seems to have worked that way for Kyle. One minute he was super dude and the next he was himself again with no memory of what happened.
In the comics, when Mon-El first arrived he had amnesia and he and Clark thought they were brothers.
My usual random thoughts:
Frequently in small towns people advance if they’re the only ones remotely competent and willing to do the job. To be honest, I went a lot further in a small company than I would have otherwise. Besides which, Kyle’s current job requires a different skill set from a business environment.
Or the writers have no clue and they're making crap up as they go.
But did she lie to Kyle? Does anyone seriously think he has "management potential"? Besides which, it would be all kinds of wrong for Lana to recommend her own husband for some fast track program.
At the same time, that's not how x-kryptonite works in the comics and I wish they'd stick closer to the source material.
Wait, what? Kara's mom doesn't live anywhere near Smallville. She lives somewhere on the Pacific coast while Smallville is in Kansas.
My usual random thoughts:
Lois & Clark were going to tell the boys about Edge’s x-kryptonite experiments.
I mentioned the same thing several episodes ago. I’ve been a huge Legion fan for years. BTW, Ultra Boy was cocreated by original Superman writer Jerry Siegel.
Not to mention, red sun energy doesn't hurt Kryptonians, it just takes away their powers. That sequence was particularly bad.
My usual random thoughts:
Strictly speaking, Johnathan shouldn't have been able to absorb the full blow so the other kid should have still gotten a fat lip or bloody nose. And if the boys keep sustaining mysterious injuries it won't be long until Family and Child Services gets involved.
I’m sure Clark was all kinds if PO’ed but he also had other things on his mind and besides him giving full vent to his anger wouldn't be a good look and it would destroy that trust he was talking about. I'll be disappointed if there isn't a conversation with Sam in the next episode or two.
I’m not sure the kryptonite bullets were meant for Tag. What good would they have done? More likely they were in case Clark "got in the way." Sam apparently took Capt. Luthor's warning to heart.
I live in St. Louis and we're on the far side of Missouri from Kansas. More likely someplace like Wichita.
Either Metropolis is somewhere in Kansas, say Wichita, or Smallville is in New York state.
You're thinking of Conner Kent from the comics. Johnathan is Clark & Lois' biological child.
