It's interesting that Kara didn't know what kryptonite was in the pilot. And what if she got her ears pierced while she was still on Krypton?

I wondered the same thing. When they met, Kara didn't recognize Nia but there's always the Crisis as an explanation.
My usual random thoughts:
Except there’s no rationale for her to go be with the Legion. To be a homewrecker and be with Mon-El? Supergirl and Brainy were pitched as an item years ago in the comics but that seems unlikely too. Because she misses Winn? Less likely still.
I mentioned that in another post. It was just laughably bad, even by comic book standards. A little exposition like, “We don’t even need her DNA. Because of the way Kryptonian technology works, the hologram projector contains a small imprint of Kara's life essence," and it would be at least okay.
Agreed on Alex snatching the gizmo from Lena instead of persuading her. As I’ve already posted, it seems like either she hasn’t learned anything at all from Kara or it’s just an example of bad writing.
In the silver age comics kryptonians’ hair couldn’t grow or be cut on Earth. That changed with the Byrne era when Clark burned his beard off with heat vision and a mirror, which also makes no sense. No clue whether there would be any strands in Kara's hairbrush.

But how hard is it to have her say, “For a long time, I thought we were the only ones who survived”? It tells the story adequately and minimizes the need for further exposition.
The under-the-table-together scene, followed by their "it's not what it looks like" reactions afterward, is what did it for me as well.
I definitely don't trust Kara's new friend and it wouldn't surprise me if she isn't what she claims to be.
No more wrong than me wanting Lena and Winn to hook up a few seasons ago.

If you’re referring to my posts being “pending,” it’s always been that way and I've been posting here since season 1. The large majority of my posts end up being “pending” for whatever reason. Sometimes they disappear completely. Who knows?
Ft. Rozz was destroyed pre-Crisis. Who knows what's become of it since?
There's actually precedent. In the silver age comics, her parents escaped into the "survival zone," which was similar to the phantom zone. When they returned, there was a story line about Kara having to choose between them and her adoptive Earth parents.

A couple of episodes ago Black Lightning mentioned knowing someone who could get a McGuffin from Central City to Freeland quickly so it actually is in the same universe when the plot calls for it.
Okay, no. I rewatched the last part of the episode and it was the following day. Clark and Lois talked about what happened at the mine but the lab wasn't mentioned.
We’ve seen Clark picking up the tractor and looking at it and that’s about it. He could probably tend the farm by himself at super speed. OTOH, Martha was there alone for maybe 20 years (assume Clark left at 18 and he’s in his 40's now); I wonder how she operated the farm?
