Leslie may have already known what was going to happen to Derek. If so, she would've known no "wrapping up" was necessary. And in the meantime why not get a little more mileage out of him by sending him after Superman?

His age wasn’t mentioned. I guessed him maybe senior year, 17 or 18, since I doubt he would’ve dropped out of high school. I mean, a rebellious phase sure but the future Superman having to get a GED? No.
We haven’t heard from Chrissy and I don’t remember if Clark knows about the lab at this point. And Jordan's situation might be a distraction. I don’t know if they dropped it or not.
I think it’s more Leslie & Co. are resurrecting normal humans by exposing them to X-kryptonite and giving them powers in the process. I suspect Leslie is similarly reanimated but a later experiment.
But wouldn't it work the other way around so that the boys looked 11 or 12?
As for revisiting the lab, when the episode ended it was still the same night. There hasn't been time.
If the school year had just started he wouldn’t have had much playing time anyway. Hardly "star quarterback." And he and his girlfriend must have gotten together over the summer or in middle school.
My usual random thoughts:
The awkwardness came from Jordan being generally shy around girls and recognizing that Sarah just got out of a relationship.
Which reminds me, what if someday the boys have to participate in an ancestry project for school?
A recent episode of Black Lightning mentioned that he knew someone in Central City who could get a MacGuffin to Freeland fast. You never saw Barry but it was a nice bit. Still, these shows are going to exist in relative vacuums unless the plot demands otherwise.
It was implied at the end of Crisis that only Clark had pre-Crisis memories. And they have to argue about stuff that should have been resolved years ago because the show needs drama.
2. Sarah was a cheerleader so she was at every game.
Killgrave is speechifying to hear himself talk; villains do that. His spiel is also for the audience’s benefit. Superman's ears were glowing; that strongly suggests he couldn't hear.
I picked up on that too. I guess they’re just part of “being Clark,” i.e., “When I’m plain old Clark, I wear my glasses.” It’s a bit odd when you think about it because in recent incarnations of Superman, Clark is the real guy and Superman is the disguise but in reality both are disguises.
I doubt the original actress is available but I wouldn't mind seeing Lucy Lane in some form.
Beyond a scandal, if it comes out that Jordan is “a super” it won’t take much to start wondering how he got that way and start looking at the rest of the family. “He’s just a meta” might fly for some people but it won’t satisfy everyone. He doesn’t just have his own secret to keep, he also has to keep his dad’s secret.
Since he was deafened by Killgrave's sonic blaster, how did he hear the boys in the first place?
Yes, Gen. Lane has probably known Clark for 15+ years but how long has he known Clark is Superman? I'd think that would enter into his thinking.
I get the impression the “his love for his family helps him prevail” thing is going to be a continuing theme.
