My usual random thoughts:

Again, he’s dealing with a lot and I’m willing to cut him a little slack *for now.*

Agreed. I get that it’s comic book science but I do wonder how a regular human ended up with heat vision? Enhanced strength I can sorta understand. Did Edge get hold of Superman’s DNA?

Think about what you'd do if you were being used as a doormat and suddenly found out you had powers. There would be a strong temptation to get even. The fact that he pulled back when he did is a hopeful sign. OTOH, if he continues to be a "brat" Clark will have to act.

In the comics he’s used his powers and his “insider” knowledge of “Superman’s” exploits in service of his journalism.

I wonder if Jordan will turn out like Ultra Boy from the Legion, only able to use any one power at a time?

My money's on Larr and the others being Earth humans who have been enhanced by Edge tech.

His offer of reconciliation was something I didn't expect but definitely welcome.

Depends on how old the car is. It doesn’t make sense to have full coverage on an old, paid off car.

Again, in the comics Superman used to bring up sunken treasure from time to time. Easier than the diamond route even if it's less cliché.

My usual random thoughts:

The golden age Superman occasionally brought up sunken treasure. Clark might go that route.

The only thing you're missing is wishful thinking. Not unlike all the Kara+Lena imaginings. There are people who want Jonathan to be LGBTQI for reasons of their own.

The foreign guy told “Captain Luthor” he didn’t have any more kryptonite. I took that to mean he’d given him the stuff before. And in the comics I’ve read, alternate universe kryptonite didn’t affect Kryptonians at all. I think we were supposed to see his love for his family enabling him to overcome the effects.

It was implied that the kryptonite in episode 1 was locally sourced.

FWIW, Springfield, IL has a population of more than 100,000. It’s not Chicago but it’s not a “small town.”

My usual random thoughts:

Since Kara won a Pulitzer Lois should have at least a couple.

Considering Clark and Lois are different species it’s a wonder they were able to have kids at all. “Lois and Clark" tackled that problem. I suppose Kryptonian traits could be "recessive" somehow.

The actress on Star Girl is in her early 20's and IIRC Tom Welling was 36 when Smallville started. At least they're trying.
