“another flashback episode with the terrific Izabela Vidovic and Olivia Nikkanen as young Kara and Alex”
“Anybody who isn't a Luthor" would include Andrea. I doubt she'd disagree much with Lex.
My usual random thoughts:
It's only remotely the same if you assume Lena is fatally allergic to accountability. She may well be but IMHO that's a big assumption.
Back in the 80's in “Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow,” Alan Moore pointed out that there’s no reason for an other-dimensional being to look like a cute little man in a bowler hat. Mxyzptlk could easily adopt different appearances.
It’s called “tough love.” If Lena chooses to go full Luthor it will be entirely her own responsibility. At that point I’d expect any self respecting hero to step up and stop her.
Kara’s warning to Lena has nothing to do with being forgiven. Kara will take her down like a supervillain if she chooses to become one. As I noted elsewhere, Kara called her a “villain” to her face. Let's hope she wakes up in time.
Of course Lena would prefer it if Kara had told her up front but let's not forget Kara is an alien and Lena makes alien detectors because "People have a right to know what their neighbors are." Lena's streak of xenophobia means putting the brakes on telling her in the beginning. There's also the idea of Kara wanting…
Except Lena doesn't see herself as a "villain." Even dystopian cyborg Lena had the best of intentions and the absolute conviction that she knew best.
Lena is the product of her life experiences. Different experiences=different outcome/different Lena.
My usual random thoughts before the site locks me out again:
Obviously Alex is Chloe Sullivan now.
The show has always had a strong redemption theme. Toyman Senior was just the latest. Whether it was credible or not is another story.
Pretty sure they’re manipulating each other, kinda like Ouroboros eating its own tail. I suspect Lex will outmanipulate Leviathan in the end.
Sorry but no. Lena turned out like Lena due to a lifetime of factors. Specifically, Lena turned out like Lena because she was written that way and the writers love their drama.
Does Lena still know how to make synthetic kryptonite in the new timeline?
Glad you liked Schneider's Jonathan Kent. I thought he was a self righteous jerk half the time. Not his fault though.
My usual random thoughts:
Yes, I’d love to see another—maybe even an annual—musical episode/crossover.
