Brainy cut his head when he face planted on the sidewalk. No flying debris from behind necessary.

You mean she gave "alternative facts"? I get that she feels betrayed and for good reason but she was either lying to make Kara think things were worse than they were or she's at least a little delusional.

Last season Nia was able to manipulate "dream energy." It appeared that the gauntlets of her costume were involved somehow but the scene with the tidal wave was just ridiculous.

Lena’s feelings might be “completely justified” but what was with her speech to Kara? Almost none of it was true. Lex's dying words? Talk about revisionism.

If Earthbender Dude was responsible for the extinction of the dinosaurs, that would make him at least 65 million years old. I could maybe see if he were the descendant of those aliens but 65 million years is a long time.

Thanks. I don’t get it either. Last week literally none of my replies got beyond “pending” so I don’t know. Most of them didn't even show up when I chose "show pending." It doesn’t help that the site is super slow and flaky on a mobile device.

I was very much a Max Lord fan and I miss the character. He had considerable potential. I also miss Morgan Edge from a couple of seasons ago. More cartoonish than Max but again, great potential, especially as a foil for Lena.

I was a bit disappointed too but if Lena was going to end up with it all along do you really want her to have another superpower along with mind control? And it hits Andrea with a dose of “You’ve always been evil.” Unfortunately, that also makes it more unlikely she’ll be redeemed.

I look at it this way: Superman is an alien, a member of an alien race. Therefore, contact with Superman represents contact with an alien race. Besides which, Lex said “first contact.” Superman was supering in public when Kara arrived on Earth. Lex knew about him when Kara was still in high school. And Lex made the

And most people who do stupid and misguided things don’t think of themselves as “evil.” Lena is in the "misguided" camp much more than the "evil" camp.

How does being able to explain a phenomenon equate with controlling it? Science has a pretty fair idea how black holes are formed but we can't create or control them.

Lex's beef has, until last season, been with Superman, not Supergirl. Lex referred to "first contact with an alien race," and since Superman appeared first he's the most likely reference.

No, villainy isn't defined by means, it's defined by intent. Lena's intent isn't evil. That doesn't mean she can't do evil things but it doesn't make her evil.

My head canon says Superman had been around for 13 years or so when the show started. We know he and Lex were a thing when Kara was still in high school and she was 24 when the series began. That’s maybe 9 years before the series started but Lex was talking like he’d just heard of Superman and the caption said it was

I prefer Lena morally ambiguous like Max Lord from season 1. She doesn’t need to be outright evil. Her desire to “save” humanity has as much potential for well intentioned mayhem as her being another Lex.

Isn't that pretty much the same thing?

Interesting idea. Ambush Bug was another mainly Superman centric character who was played for laughs.

Yeah, the timeline has always been a mess and this episode made it worse. Lex mentioned “first contact with an alien race” five years ago but he and Superman were “nemesi” (Kara’s word) when Kara was still in high school. It’s bad writing coupled with the fact that no one cares.

If "magic" means "phenomena and abilities not explainable by current science," then yes, Leviathan most likely does use magic.

You don't suppose Andrea is secretly an alien and the ancestor of Shadow Lass from the Legion, do you?
