And here I go again with my usual random thoughts that will never be more than “pending.”

Seems like Alex's personal force field was introduced last season or maybe the one before that but I'm not sure. It could easily be something new.

The metaphor was for the viewer’s benefit. If he’d said “my ma’kon’dis” it would’ve been necessary to have someone explain it. OTOH, J’onn referring to two brothers named Diemos and Phobos a couple of episodes ago was just lazy writing.

Rip Roar does have four arms in the comics.

Last season Dreamer could use "dream energy" so presumably that's what she was using against the giant wave. It still doesn't make sense but that's the "explanation."

Yeah, the NDA had me rolling my eyes. They've already let everybody and his girlfriend in without so much as a visitor badge but they draw the line at British Dude.

Way back in Jimmy Olsen #57, there was an "imaginary story," written by Jerry Siegel, in which Jimmy married Supergirl in her Linda Lee identity while she had amnesia. So there's a certain degree of precedent.

Yes, pretty much everything about the show is "because Superman." They gave her glasses because Superman. She works with Jimmy/James Olsen because Superman. She became a reporter because Superman. Supergirl in the comics usually wore a wig, not glasses, except for a time when she had a special comb that turned her

He's a reasonably attractive, successful guy. Being single would attract unwanted attention from the ladies. Apparently it's possible to fake a social media profile and anyone who might know better would be in on it.

Ages ago in the comics Superman and Supergirl had pockets in their capes where they kept their civvies. Presumably this included his glasses and her wig. In this case it's just something else that hasn't been thought out.

I thought it was a vacant office?

Close. They went to Argo City for Lois' pregnancy. I don't recall Kandor being mentioned up to now. And what kind of life are they supposed to have in an artificial Kryptonian habitat like Argo?

They’ll probably ignore it. Continuity has never been a big consideration on Supergirl. And FWIW:

“probably take a page from Lois and Clark, focusing on the pair at work and home more than him fighting the monster of the week.”

Hoechlin makes a great Clark but I have trouble with him as Superman. Cain was a great Clark and a lousy Superman. Reeve was a great Superman and an okay Clark. I don't know if there'll ever be an ideal actor for both roles.

Durance is my reigning Lois among relatively recent incarnations as well. Hatcher wasn’t bad either.

Yes, Kara is looking stylish these days, more professional and less like someone's assistant. I also notice Nia consistently wears shorter skirts/dresses to emphasize that she's younger than Kara.

My usual random thoughts:

I thought DEO agents didn’t carry lethal weapons normally but had them available for special cases?

I'm in agreement. Sometimes problems are best solved at the local level. If James were a Senator he'd have a whole state crying for his attention.
