Once again, my random thoughts:

Or at least give a plausible reason why a distance assault won’t work. I’ve said countless times they need a panel of fans to review script ideas. Or a single D. C. Fontana type who is thoughtful and cares.

Other, less violent forms of engagement like taking a bar from one of the cells and tying them up with it or blowing them aside with super breath. Got it.

I don’t remember Kara having a particularly lavish work space but she’s supposed to be mentoring Nia so it’s possible that’s why she called Kara “boss.” I don’t think Kara is anything like management; she’d have to be an editor and AFAIK she’s not.

That reminds me of the Metallo episode of “Lois and Clark.” There was a sorta gruesome scene near the end where Metallo was screaming for mercy while Superman used his heat vision from a safe distance to melt his metal legs into a puddle. I could definitely have lived without seeing that.

Except how is slamming them into the wall keeping them from hurting themselves? By inflicting the hurt before they can?

Agreed. I think Brainy is around for the foreseeable future. And frankly, after the way they botched the Legion I'd just as soon not see them again.

Dreamer does have, thanks to Brainy IIRC, force gauntlets powered by “pure dream energy.” That gives her an edge Dream Girl in the comics didn't have, and if her powers continue to develop she'll be able to anticipate an opponent's moves.

“Why is nobody doing a forensic analysis of the attack so that they can actually say to everyone that it absolutely WAS Supergirl.”

Not sure yet about Alex+Kelly. A couple of seasons ago Lena and Winn had great chemistry but it wasn’t allowed to go anywhere. I'm still kinda bummed about it. Still, you’re probably right. Why else would they make Kelly a regular character?

That was a sore point for me, too. If you're invulnerable, you don't need to go out of your way to beat the crap out of a (mostly) unarmed opponent.

My usual random thoughts:

Both Danvers sisters understand the value of family. They'd probably be more forgiving than Lena expects.

Agreed regarding Haley. She may not be especially nice but she has principles. Finding out about the secret alien killer satellite was probably the last straw.

Hard to imagine how she could “stun” people with heat vision. Comparable to knocking someone out with a blowtorch. At minimum those people have severe burns and they could easily be dead. But this show believes in redemption so she might not die. She could lose her powers and live as a normal woman or she could go

Pretty sure the "Lex mole" thing is a retcon. They probably just used the Eve Tessmacher name as a hat tip to the movie franchise.

If they don't soon I'll be disappointed. They've already established that it gave both Lex and Bitsie powers.

That was my initial assumption. Who else besides Manchester Black would want to undermine J'onn?

Haley is a heel with principles. You don’t have to be nice to do the right thing. It took a while for that to be apparent.

Lex can’t kill James for the same reason aliens or whatever can’t kill the main cast of Star Trek even while red shirts are dropping like flies all around them.
