And then they’d have to finally explain how Superman can fly in space but Supergirl can’t, as mentioned in the season 1 finale.

Alex is also someone who has proved she can be trusted. Lena lied about having more of the stuff, and about where she got it.

Yeah, that made no sense. If they had decided to “terraform” (strictly speaking, something more like “kryptoform”) Earth after they found out our atmosphere had made the black rock toxic, that would make sense but it seems like that was the plan all along.

Which would be strange again because it was established at the end of season 1 that Supergirl can’t fly outside the atmosphere. If she can’t do it, how can Superman?

Not a red herring, a metaphor. Kara has fought supervillains and world killers. She’s risked her life multiple times. Lady sheriff’s biggest problem is a gazebo that faces the wrong direction. Kara can’t relate.

Brainiac 5 fell in love with Supergirl in the comics and I was hoping we’d see that. Unfortunately they stuck with the Mon-El crap.

Not bad but 1. I’m okay with Argo being real as long as there’s a resolution, say maybe they settle on some uninhabited planet and call it “New Krypton.” 2. I don’t want Sam having powers, I just want her to be normal. 3. I don’t want Eve to be evil.

In the comics they used to reference stuff that happened years before, even stuff from other books. D. C. Fontana was responsible for continuity on the original Star Trek. Later series like DS9 were weaker in that regard. But yeah, they could at least try.

I’ve been watching since season 1. Max, IMHO, is the heart and soul of the series. His spiritual questions and his impulse to literally “extend a hand” to people who hate his kind resonate with the Gospels.

We don’t know yet what’s happening with Sam but the business with her dropping the glass qualifies as a Bad Omen. I did wonder, both last week and this, why the other Kryptonians apparently don’t share Kara’s feelings about Daxamites.

I’m also wondering what the future holds for Ruby. She’s half genetically engineered Kryptonian and Sam’s powers should have manifested when she was in her teens. Ruby is 12 so we could see interesting developments in a few seasons if she’s still around and the writers haven’t forgotten.

They did.

Okay, time for my usual random thoughts:

I hadn’t thought about it until you mentioned birds but last season in a flashback scene Kara mentioned that there were no birds on Krypton.

There were six pods total and we got to see three Legionnaires. Well, actually two and a half since we never saw a proper Saturn Girl. I’m convinced there were never going to be more than three.

FIrst planet problems. Also, if they have gravity control they can move the gazebo.

That’s what promos do, they tease you so you’ll watch the show. If they need to show stuff out of context they do it.

J’onn specifically identified himself as being with the FBI. As for something being J’onn’s call, he’s the Director of the DEO. Not just this branch but the whole agency. That means he gets to make the rules.

There’s clearly more to Eve than we know but yeah, I did wonder how someone who studied nuclear physics at Yale ended up as an administrative assistant.

I don’t recall J’onn giving a timetable.
