For a lot of people, living in a State that bans it is equivalent to living in a country that bans it. Texas is fucking enormous. Georgia’s not small. Abortion is time-sensitive and many Americans have precarious employment that severely limits their flexibility to take time off to travel several hours away, complete

Even before they’re born; how many American women can’t access prenatal care? How many American women don’t have a day off to go for a scan? How many American women are losing wanted pregnancies for want of healthcare, paid leave, access to decent nutrition, etc?

They outlaw abortions, yet America has an abysmal Maternal Mortality rate for a developed country.

This is what always enrages me. They say they care about these clumps of cells ... I mean babies. But do nothing for them once they’re born, punishing both them and their mothers.

Even the liberal justices see the writing on the wall. In Breyer’s dissent he specifically mentions Casey v Planned Parenthood and writes:

Today is 20 years since my rape. I did not need this shit today. I was mostly fine. Then I got this notification from WaPo and collapsed into tears in my front yard. I’m just done with this planet.

Kavanaugh was the final nail, with hin they locked up the majority with a hardcore misogynist so this has been inevitable, sadly it is where I live that is taking the lead.

Roe v. Wade is all but dead now. This is the nail. It’ll go all the way up, and the Psychotic with a capital P arch-right wing that now loves overturning legal precedent, will strike it down.

Given that SCOTUS just overruled Nevada v. Hall — sans precedent, sans any Constitutional citation — it looks less like a chance and more like an inevitability. Even given a massive blue wave in 2020, the infrastructure is already set, the guillotine is already in place.

They will outlaw abortions, but leave newborns to die if their parents can’t pay hospital bills.

Somehow my post got published without my even knowing it and before I could finish my thought. I meant to say that if challenges to any of these laws end up in front of SCOTUS, we may be waving goodbye to Roe v. Wade, given the current makeup of the court.

I would love for all the Bernie supporters to come and tell us again about how Hillary is just as bad as Trump. If the challenges to any of these new laws end up in the Supreme Court, given

People also downplay the fact that it was a super trashy impeachment and the Ken Starr report held nothing back when it came to the sex details.  This is absolutely nothing like Trump’s impeachment.

I’ll tell you what she’s not afraid of — idiot bloggers who seriously underestimate the lessons she’s learned from her 50+ years of political infighting.

Oh, fuck off with the selective quoting.

I think I am pro-impeachment but this “the Democrats are wimps” nonsense completely ignores the reality that removal will require at 20 Republican senators. If you understand the political strategy here is to make Trump look as bad as possible and possibly get those 20 Republicans OR draw it out as long as possible so

If they all weren’t so afraid to suck each other’s dick there wouldn’t be this problem.

Any real example of any POC group storming a bookstore to silence a reading?

Nazi scum, fuck off.

Please provide an example of the moment someone on this site approved of a’colored’ nationalist group interrupting a book talk.
