Modern cars have oil changes scheduled every 10-12k miles, or one year, whichever comes first. Apparently I am supposed to change my transmission fluid at a quarter million miles, but I suspect I’ll need a new clutch first.

Aggravating city/highway is dumb, and extra stupid in the case of an EV. Does anyone really care what in-town range is? ICE vehicles get a city, highway, and combined MPG. EVs should get the same three metrics city, highway, and combined range.

After seven years of owning our Bolt there’s finally enough charging infrastructure down south to start taking ours to the in-laws, 300 miles down the road. Yeah, the slow charging sucks, but when you plan your stops via Buc-ee’s it’s tolerable.

The reason why the Rivian with the 21" wheels scores better here is because the test is the best to add 100 miles of range, not to add some set amount of kWh.
