- Why wasn’t Zari helping Ava with her murderboard? That’s their thing.
- God, that opening scene was so freaking perfect. Loved every second of it.
Pretty much the only tease that didn’t pay off in this episode was Alicia Witt’s appearance as Pat’s ex-wife
- Max having a run at the house while the “Too Sexy” song playing in the background was one of the funniest scenes in the entire Arrowverse.
I believe the Shade told Barbara, “I need Emily” (presumably his female relative that she reminds him of?)
Man, fuck hallucination Cameron. Killing Buddy? For shame!
I thought this was excellent. I think the character studies have been really effective, even if they’ve been slow. I really appreciated the timeline clarification that this was before the Christmas Day Massacre we saw last season, and that it explained why that happened. The timeline is always going to be a bit…
You can tell that episode was the spiritual pilot for what Stargirl ended up being - right down to sharing the same writer & director, and being incredibly vague about what time period the JSA was actually active during.
Great episode for Beth. I loved the impressed Dr McNider telling her the goggles didn’t save her, that she saved herself. And maybe Beth’s parents aren’t complete garbage people
- This was such a damn good episode, but throughout the entire episode I was practically chanting “PLEASE somebody get this poor girl to Sara Lance ASAP.”
I guess the stunt person is mostly to credit, but Artemis in the fights was really fun & a cool mix of the fighting styles of her parents. I loved how much fun she was having, until Eclipso and then she wasn’t anymore
Little bit of Sam Raimi in that fight photography. Especially that staff-pov (and Courtney's foot-pov!) shot. How much fun was that?! B.A.
I wonder how Cindy was able to discover that Yolanda, Beth and Rick were Courtney’s super teammates... Gathering info from behind the shadows, I guess.
I liked that Cindy asked for Courtney’s help before she disappeared into the tar portal thing, recalling that part of her actually wants to be friends with the “new girl who isn’t that new anymore.” Female friendships are complicated...
I like how the show is delaying the Cindy-Courtney confrontation, though they almost came face to face in this episode. But you know one of them is sure to attack the other one in spite of both trying more reasonable approaches this season
Kylo Ren would’ve pointed out that Nia’s need to reach out to her dead mom, “searching for [her] everywhere”, is her greatest weakness. In fact, behind all the chutzpah and magic tricks, she’s likeBatman: “just a little [girl] in a playsuit crying for mommy and daddy.”
The Shade is more interesting than I expected. It would be cool if he is really there to try to stop or destroy Eclipso.
“Feeding the dog”. Nice one, Rick. But be sure to remember what Jerry Seinfeld said about a certain friend of his (Cosmo Kramer): “If you feed him, he’ll never leave.” LOL
Kara’s side of the Fortress of Solitude is so much nicer looking than Kal’s.
