When the Flash said “I let this city down”, it’s almost as if he were repeating the Green Arrow’s catchphrase: “You have failed this city.” And he mentions Oliver’s death later on in the episode, so I think it’s rather appropriate.

So far, this show is like a mixture of Home Improvement, Black Lightning and the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy. Especially when Jordan is being portrayed as a kind of Kylo Ren, with a mentor who thinks he may have been mistaken about his potential:

One might say that Barry was turning into the Thinker. I mean, look how well enhanced intelligence without emotion turned out. But at least Barry might be able to remember things from his cognitive abilities, should they wear out... Right?

Something tells me that we’ll be getting more of Brainwave, at least when it comes to passing the mantle down from father to son. It worked with the Green Goblin.

Just think: if Barry had accepted Eva’s deal, he would’ve saved a bit more speed; Iris, Kamilla and Singh would’ve been back by now; and Sue Dearbon wouldn’t have been framed for murder.
