I see that people have already mentioned BattleCON and Yomi as already existing awesome card games that emulate 2D fighters, but I’m also going to throw in EXCEED as well. It’s made by Level99 as well (same guys who do BattleCON), and adds supermoves and a really cool power-up mechanic. It should go on any list of

Okay, pet peeve time:

It’s canon. CANON.

A cannon is a gun you fire at someone, canon is which gun fired at which person.

To call Beasts of War “fans” is a bit of an understatement: they’re one of the best sources for anything tabletop miniatures related, especially stuff that doesn’t normally get a lot of exposure (ie, things not made by Games Workshop). You really should have that last link point to their website (beastsofwar.com)

Okay, serious talk here: besides playing Optimus, is there ANY reason NOT to just always play GRIMLOCK?! My options are awesome voiced leader-truck, yellow subcompact, nerdy racecar, red racecar and a GODDAMN ROBOT T-REX WITH GIANT WARHAMMER. Yeah, sure... I’ll pick the race car. =D

It looks to me like they’re using his original Generations line toy’s vehicle mode as the model, which means he’s a non-copyright, non-trademark infringing Not-VW-Bug-But-REEEEALLY-Close. Which is fine with me, that toy was awesome.

Yeah, seriously, Hybrid Convoy's actually my favorite Optimus toy. Though, I kind of use the term "toy" loosely considering it's more of an adult collector's piece than most of the rest of these. Still, the attention to detail on that thing's awesome from head to toe to trailer. Not only does it come with the

The best part of the "Personality Mechanics" is that you actually don't have to roll, and they're not really a mechanic: more like a guideline to help newer players get in to the mindset of taking this set of random numbers they've just created and turn it into an actual character. The only real mechanical advantage

I did probably come off a bit harsher than I wanted, and I apologize for that. I've grown amazingly fatigued at the stupid edition wars nonsense, especially from 3.5 players, that my reactions tend to be overly severe. It's more annoying when it's people who never actually play the system, and just spout random crap

That's an awful lot of hyperbole, don't you think? If the party's getting killed by a 12 AC, 2 HP, +0 to hit, 1 damage house cat then the party (or the DM) is doing something very, very wrong. Especially when your average fighter (and many clerics) are averaging an 18 AC at 1st level.

I get it: people hate WotC like

Mike's suggestion of checking out your local game shop (assuming you have one) is a great one. I'd like to also add that many game stores will start running weekly D&D Encounters games this week as the new season starts on Wednesday. Encounters is part of the new D&D organized play program, Adventurers League, which

Phil Collins Block was the name given by the Justice Department to the old run down megablock that used to be called Genesis Towers. Phil Collins Block is most notable for nearly being destroyed by it's nearby rival, Peter Gabriel Block, during the Block Riots of 2103. It survived mostly intact, only to be reduced

I'm actually kind of surprised that Garry's Mod is so low!

Marvel came really close to getting Surfer and Galactus back a few years ago, back when Fox had a number of Marvel IPs who's rights were getting ready to revert. IIRC, Fox gave up Daredevil in order to retain the rest. As the Fantastic Four movie keeps getting delayed, they might end up having to renegotiate again

I don't think that any of your suggestions are at all out of the realm of possibility, actually!

Yes, yes... yes!!! God, I loved that damned game. My buds and I used to play that from dusk 'til dawn every day. Those endings are still a riot.

Yeah, that backup story was great, and I wish Marvel's writers would call back to it more often as it's a pretty solid character reason for why she dresses like she does.

Don't forget having your entire Guild bust their butts to build a guild city as fast as they possibly can, only to find out that ALL the bonuses from those buildings weren't actually working ( and I believe turned off ). Or that all the hard work your armorcrafters, and the tons of money they needed to make things,

On the plus side, the world wide box office is saving Pacific Rim from totally crashing and burning, and proving yet again that US audiences need to have their damned heads examined. It's at $90 million worldwide which is much better. Still, I can't help but think that they severely mis-marketed Pacific Rim and it's

Nah, everyone knows you have to exhaust all your other weapon options before forming blazing sword. Can't have a proper mech vs. giant monster battle if you end it too early, don't you know.

I'd be down for a prequel just to get a chance to see some of the other Jaegers, especially Coyote Tango.
