If you look at Apple's descriptions of the Watch, they specific that it uses a flexible display for Force Touch. As far as I know, only OLED enables a flexible display.

Idk if its a matter of getting used to it, especially with many reporting (at least in the case of the watch) that it just doesnt work.

I am waiting for the external track pad that has this built in.
