They look too real. Everything has that digital sheen to it, which makes the one actual real thing- the kid- more wooden by contrast.

Just got back from seeing this, and before the film, I was ready to decry the AV Club of yet another instance of hatin' just to hate, but I gotta say… this movie was a complete B-, perhaps even a C.

Everything about this looks bonkers-awesome except Cara Delevingne's character. Is The Enchantress supposed to be a mysterious character? Are they keeping her a secret for a plot twist, or is it because they know the girl can't act?

That said, all you Negative Nancys can bugger off, because you missed out on 4-ish seasons of a bananapants balance of character and plot just because it bore a passing resemblance to Twilight.

I'll agree on the time-travel stuff, even with LoT working to convince us it's not totally arbitrary, but the Lazarus Pit was destroyed after they brought Sara back.

I can deal with hot people. But if they can act and be hot, all the better. SHIELD has fared well with this balance, along with the greater MCU, which is why I hope the trend continues here.

Hopefully Marvel will play this one close to the chest and not let the Freeform folks fill the cast with empty Pretties.
