What’s crazy was these were made from ‘72 to ‘89 and had air bags, knee bolsters, anti-squat suspensions, ABS, emissions, etc tacked on. They are like a German c3 corvette.

Driver will make more from YouTube views than the fare!

I was quoting rolling hard’s use of rims, hence the quotes.

I had no idea Indycar runs the road course at Indy in addition to the oval. That’s neat!

If you call police, they would impound the vehicle do you wouldn’t have to pay for tow, the car owners would. This is the most up and up thing to do in my opinion.

I had a set of dinner plate sized driving lamps (cibie bioscars) on my golf and they were awesome but fuel economy did take a hit due to aerodynamics. I wonder if they would be bad for pedestrian safety and snow bank impact too.

There isn’t a market for “rims” for a car like this.  If you want new non-OEM rims they will probably be custom.

Aren’t northstars problematic?

With direct injection diesels and gas cars sound pretty similar today.

I’ll say my home state of “America in Miniature” Maryland. Minor mountains in the west for twisty driving, huge boat culture (different type of gear head), fair roads if poor traffic at times, beach cruising in the east, 4 seasons for variety. Smog check doesn’t seem excessive.

To physically produce, yes. But there’s a fixed cost to engineer, develop, certify, service, etc.

neat!  I grew up in Annapolis.

You’ll need a costume!

Dude, 500s are ancient, aim for the 1000’s with the axial filament h1 bulb if not the 4000 compacts.

Idk, the guy on the back bumper that must be reaching down to control the second outboard is pretty boss...or drew the short straw.

Early ones had the 5.4L v8, which might be a relative value as most people will try to get the 6.2 with the HID headlamps

That’s what I’ve read, too. The only other name plates that moved the engine were the Beetle to New Beetle, which couldn’t be more different; and the 911 race cars that are now midengine. No midengine 911 roadcars though.

I grew up in Annapolis. When the Blue Angels practiced and performed for the Academy’s Commissioning Week (graduation) it was too loud for class so our teachers would take us to the parking lot and watch the “Angels fly.” It’s a Catholic school, so it all worked out.

I’m not aware of the same name plate making such a change.  But one could compare something like the Ferrari California to the Ferrari 458 that use similar engines but in different places.  They are supposed to appeal to different buyers though.

I think the mountains are Canada. It’s like in the 4th Indiana Jones movie when there’s aliens instead of Nazis.
