Explorer RS, or Shelby Explorer?

I was thinking about a ‘03-04 Mustang GT Rally cross car but found the NA Cobras weren’t much more expensive. IRS I think is a plus but might be harder to lift a bit. And the brakes might limit wheels and tire choices. Anyone else have suggestions for going for the Cobra or sticking with the GT?
