So you commute 20 miles day... Any EV will get you there and back where you charge very cheaply at home. Way more cheaply then the added cost fo the solar panels.

Indeed.
I LOVE CAPS.
“I dunno, how do we know that RAM/FIAT/CHRYSLER/DODGE doesn’t already have something in the pipeline?”
The expense of the panels doesn’t justify the gain in daily range. Hyundai or Kia is do this with one of their cars and gaining a WHOPPING 2 miles a day. That is in ideal conditions mind you... Yes, that equates to over 700 miles a year in gained range, but still not sure the added cost is worth it in the end.
“PHEVs have slightly lower credits than full EVs.”
Suggest CA build some new power plants and figure out their southern CA water supply issues before pulling that trigger.
Makes for a great press release but also sends a clear message to the likes of FORD, GM, FIAT/Chrysler/RAM and even TESLA that they are missing the boat on what should be a low cost, low option, less complex to manufacture no frills delivery vehicle.
ALternatively, Rivian can partner with FORD who they are already in…
“But strike pay provided by the UAW, which has been building up reserves in preparation for possible industrial action, is just $250 per week.”
EDIT: Whoops... went down wrong train of thought. NVM.
Undermine? Drive them out?
You realize the monopolistic aspect that taxi services (in collusion with NYC gov’t) had on that service right?
You also know that the internet thing has been around for years and the cab services did do fuck all to adapt to it aggressively until Uber and Lyft came along - Thanks to Uber and…
The contractors choose to contract with them. They are not forced to drive for Uber or Lyft. That is where your math is bad. They are not employees. Simple fact. Could they be treated better? Certainly... But they certainly can work somewhere else for benefits and more pay if they don’t like Ubering.
I use Lyft or Uber primarily for business purposes and expense the rides. I could care less if the bill is 30% more. Even 30% more is still cheaper than the fucking cabs are. Same time of day from SFO to Oakland in a cab was over $80 with tip. Uber or Lyft? Roughly $50.
Added bonus, the Ubers and Lyfts are EVERYWHERE…
Planes 3 has already been cancelled as Disney shut that whole animation studio down.
“Let’s say of the 800,000 F series that we sell a year, just 10 percent are interested. That’s still 80,000 vehicles. These are huge numbers.”
Uhm... 10% is dreaming... 5% might even be dreaming.
You are new here aren’t you? If you go back and read David’s many articles you will realize that towing limits aren’t really something he abides by...They are simply mere suggestions. So him saying it is over twice is actually fact for him
Ahem...
“at two pre-determined times per day.” Some buses depending on school district do more runs depending on whether middle school is a separate school, and after school activities where there is busing.
Secondly, comparing left over range on a worn tesla battery is moot. Doesn’t apply here. While the slow speed of the bus…
Apparently we all live in the suburbs because we have some common sense and like affordable housing, room, privacy... and yard work.
I’ll have to tell the black lady in the house across the street that she is racist for being out here in the burbs... Oh, and I’ll have to tell the family from Honduras two houses down…
Bets are they were never there.
Bandage on her lower side? No evidence at all on the jeans. MOst of all... That ambulance has the worse EMTs on the planet. Looks like a 3 year old put those bandages on.
Fake as fuck.
