In case anyone out there was confused about how the voting/enfranchisement system was rigged, here it is. Jill Stein filed for a recount. She paid the required fees. And now, suddenly, she is not “aggrieved” enough to demand a recount.

So...feel free to corrupt yourself if you believe that it’s for everyone else’s benefit? Like Hillary taking money from oppressive regimes so that she could try to get elected?

Ha! Too late! It’s already there!

Those are all possibilities. I’m sure there are a myriad of others, too.

They don’t want to play dirty.

Anyone who gave money to this whackadoo is a sucker.

That is transparently not what I am arguing.

I guess you could make the pedantic argument that it is, since the electoral college elects the President, not the people,

So, you’re arguing that it’s better to allow them to be oppressed such that they must remain covered? That this is somehow better and less oppressive?

If that were true, then the number of electoral votes per state would be directly proportional to the population, and it is not.

we elect, by popular vote, representatives.

No one state would truly have “more power” over any of the others

That’s exactly correct. The people in those states could back a candidate who wants to close and sell the land in our national parks, and the people who live in states with those places would be powerless to do anything about it.

THIS.

The Electoral College in this election has already overruled the will of the electorate because Donald Trump is going to be President even though he LOST THE VOTE.

The will of the people is the popular vote. The electoral college is specifically spurning the will of the people by voting for Trump.

Meh. I have worked union jobs, and in my experience they are worse. You don’t get overworked, but you have frustration which comes with dealing with the rigid mentality of the union. I’d rather be overworked. To each his own.

The bills in 2012 and 2015 were never signed into law. This one will help if it makes it that far.

It better than the other legislation helping to protect them from being forced to wear them in the Netherlands.
