Looks very interesting and intense, but also that it might (to me at least) have the same problem as the basketball mode - getting the ball where you want it requires aerial skills that the regular soccer-based modes don’t, so I (and many players) aren’t really good enough for it to be more than luck.

That’s not true at all. There’s a lot of decision points in most games. From as simple as “do I kill that creature or wait for a bigger threat” to “how much do I commit into a possible board wipe?”

Being an analyst doesn’t make it unfair for you to place bets. It’s not like insider trading where it’s a sure thing. Yes, he’s better informed, but so could anybody else who spends the majority of their time paying attention to these things.

Except in your example, his bet isn’t what’s sketchy, his taking 500k to throw a game is massive sketchy. Athletes careers are typically performance based. He’s essentially already betting his time on winning. What’s 250k more?
