Who gets labeled a “terrorist” and who gets labeled a “freedom fighter” largely depends on perspective and power balances.

Corto Maltese is named after the roguish 19th Century sailor hero of Hugo Pratt’s series of graphic novels dating back to the 1960s. There was going to be a movie adaptation with Milla Jovovich a few years back, but it seems to be in limbo.

the conceit takes on an odd subtext because of the lengths the story goes to in order to make you read 22 as a white woman despite the fact that she’s not supposed to be a “person” yet....While that logic might hold up to a point within the context of the movie, as an audience member, the explanation reads more like

That’s not what the movie is about at all.

It is absolutely not that, despite this article’s attempt to make it seem that way.

I honestly think this article was written with the focus to find something wrong with the movie. I didnt even think about black and white dynamics btwn Joe a a black man and 22 a being that doesn’t have a body or a designation to be tied to.

Admittedly, I’m not black, but it felt more like Joe’s film than 22's to me, in the same way Toy Story felt more like Woody’s film than Buzz’s.

This 90s kid was thinking this:

Oh god, not this again.

I think the close, intimate, and caring relationships between the male characters is FAR more interesting with them all being straight. And I say that as a gay man.

I’ve always thought the shipping of Frodo and Sam was kinda problematic in an odd way, and promotes the idea that men can’t have really close, affectionate relationships with one another, without them being homosexuals. There’s literally nothing in the books or films to indicate that their relationship is anything but

“Just” an endangered bloodline.

As for the effects, save for one or two examples, they’re mostly practical, which is a welcome change from most other CGI-heavy DC films, including the first Wonder Woman.”

the 560+ Visual Effects artists (more uncredited) listed on IMDB might disagree with this claim about the proportions.
Maybe if you don’t actually

BoJack Horseman’s final, bittersweet half season aired in January 2020 and should be on this list.

No love for Amphibia or Owl House?! So its treason then.

It was a 31 minute episode (the second shortest of the season).

that wasnt character development, that was a complete and unexplained turn. They were ready to shoot the kid on the spot. Character development would be events over time that showed growth and learning. this was essentially just showing boba and fennec’s attitude about the whole thing flipping like an switch. thats

And the big action sequence was riddled with a forced plot hole. Din not having his jetpack all this time didn’t make any sense, but I guess it was the only option the writers had left to make Grogu’s kidnapping somewhat believable, because they had just cornered themselves by creating an unstoppable trio that should

This was BY far the worst episode this season.
