Aluminum cans are arguably less harmful to the environment. Greater recycling rate and content, opaque, so give longer shelf life, less -“chemiclas" like phtalates etc... So healthier for consumer. It’s not like humans react rationally to radiation levels. If they did,the evacuation would have been on a far smaller scale, and over 2000 people wouldn’t be dead as a result of being displaced. So far the victim count from radiation is ONE, a decontamination worker that worked in the plant.
