Nope, not according to the dude upthread who says it may as well have been a leg of lamb

This right here is the reason why I’ll never have a gun in my house or live with/be in a relationship with a gun owner. The risk of someone losing control of themselves and making a bad snap decision is too much. I’ve got one particular relative who owns guns and we respectfully disagree on this issue. He thinks that

If only the good people, son and wife, were armed there would have been a totally different outcome.  All 3 would be dead.  But, of course, it’s not the guns.

I watched to the videos too, and found them very tongue in cheek.

Good old Jezebel and their lack of proofreading

But Hussain never got out of his car, having become suspicious of the circumstances. As the two drove away from the parking lot in the early hours of the morning

All screening tests have an element of overdiagnosis. It is built in. Many people have difficulty understanding this, including way, way, way to many physicians.

African Americans did have this same energy post-Civil War, that’s why white people instituted Jim Crow laws. Every time black people gained a measure of success, white people tore it down. The Tulse massacre wasn’t the only incident of it’s kind.

Bwahahahah. I am glad I didn’t drink the Kool-Aid, because I can still listen to her songs now. Life has fewer disappointments and rug pulls if you expect all creatives and celebrities to be d-bags from the get-go.

We’re looking up to the wrong people.

Hell, even if it were true that slavery somehow gave Black people skills they would not otherwise have gained, the idea that those skills could be properly leveraged after slavery seems to be disputed by the rest of American history.

Isn’t the reason people are worried about such content is because they don’t want to accidently happen upon it? But if you effectively never see it without intentionally searching for it then it is clearly not as big of a problem as people are suggesting.

I’ve never seen a single post on mastodon in the last year I’m on it that was controversial-enough, or more so, illegal. I’m not saying that these posts don’t exist, but I have 3 Mastodon accounts on 3 of the biggest instances, and I haven’t seen a bad post yet. As far as I know, these instances are blocked quickly

You can’t have a world war against the nazis if the nazis are already in control of the world’s biggest militaries.

How long before OceanGate begins offering submarine rides down to the debri field?

At least if the sub imploded they’d be killed so quickly they’d be dead before even their brains had time to register what was happening. They’d be instant chunky marinara sauce

I don’t really have an issue with him going to a Blink-182 festival, but my guy - you don’t have to post about it.

Well, maybe he can spend the rest of his life in jail (I hope) and become an advocate for the better treatment for prisoners. Do something good in his life.

Look, I get that 19 is technically a “teen” number. But this person is legally an adult, doing adult crimes and facing adult charges. Why is the word “teen” even in the headline other than to infantalize the criminal? It would have been equally accurate to say “tiktok adult.” It feels like we have this need to make
