Think of a two front conflict. It’s not unreasonable to assume it. An example would be a issue in the SCS, where we are obligated to come to the defense of Japan. Once we are engaged there, Russia moves into the Baltics as we are distracted fighting a near peer power. You are now shit-out-of luck.
