I’m sick and tired of this shit.. I’m a White Male (Middle Aged) that voted for Hillary. Im in a Economic situation that is vastly helped by Trump being President, and yet I still voted against that cheeto.

Lots of issues with the system, no doubt. I personally have a big issue with our healthcare system. We can spend trillions invading and occupying other countries for dubious reasons, yet talk about spending 1/20th of that on health care, and people freak the fuck out. Its a insane system.
It will never happen in the U.S., or atleast it will never happen in the lifetimes of anyone that is currently alive. It is such a monumentally stupid idea that I can never see anything but a very small percentage of the population getting behind it. It also fundamentally goes against the founding principles of the…
This is the question isnt it? I dont think Russia or China would just attack us, I think they would test us. Here is the hypothetical situation:
Loved that movie, and the 500,000lbs of Ordnance the F-16 could carry in that movie. :)
Think of a two front conflict. It’s not unreasonable to assume it. An example would be a issue in the SCS, where we are obligated to come to the defense of Japan. Once we are engaged there, Russia moves into the Baltics as we are distracted fighting a near peer power. You are now shit-out-of luck.
20mm Cannon as a secondary weapon? I hadn’t heard that for the A3. I assume you meant that as a coaxial weapon in the turret? I have a hard time believing that one, but would be neat to see.
Yep, didnt mean to imply they were new.. Just meant to say they were (relatively) cheap to fly compared to the jets of the era, and did there job well. Aside from that, they were dam scary looking. :)
Not a expert, but I think the F-16 fell into that category as well. While not as bad as a F-117 or B-2, it was still not going to fly it’s self without the aid of computers.
Not so much inflation (although a big part of it), but also you cant compare a late model F-16 to a F-16A from the early 80's. It’s almost a totally different plane with with lots of neat new toys, which drive up the cost.
Guess it depends on what you mean by ‘A lot’. In that sense, I meant compared to the rest of the U.S. I should have been clearer.
Right.. I thought they also could slide for maintenance though, but for a warshot they were blown off.
Even thats highly doubtful. You would need to get the shroud off, disconnect the warhead, and then move it. Those warheads way many hundreds of pounds. You would need some heavy machinery to do that.
We still have those on buildings in my town. I’m about 15 miles from a primary military target on the east coast, and probably just as close to a bunch of secondary targets. Suffice it to say, if war came with Russia I wouldn’t really need to go and look for those signs.
Nice article, just a slight mistake. The Minuteman III can actually carry 3 MIRV warheads. Currently they are deployed with a single warhead because of the START treaty, but they have the capability of carrying more.
Huh? I said they had a large Muslim population in Detroit, not that they are sending a lot of fighters to Syria. My guess is a few dozen, if that.
Probably. I would almost rank Australia a stronger Allie then the U.K. The only difference is strategically the UK has in the past been better geographically positioned, as well as having a stronger military. That will now probably change with the rise of China and the gradual decline of Russia (Despite what Putin…
No, I totally agree, and well said. There is a similar, albeit not as rampant issue in the U.S. in certain cities. Detroit has a large Islamic settlement which has been a source of a lot radicalization and movement to Syria to fight for the ‘cause’. Not even close in numbers to what we see in Europe, but I think…
Nice find on that info-graph. What boggles my mind is that they keep going to fight from these countries. They must watch the news before they go. Do they not believe what they see? I’ll never understand that..
No one with any sense is talking about withdrawing from NATO or leaving Europe behind. Trump may blather about that, but thats because thats what Trump does. Hes an idiot, and woefully uneducated on anything to do with the Military, or for the most part international relations.
